Prior to Harper Beckham’s 14th birthday on Thursday, sources close to her brother Brooklyn and his wife Nicola (now known as Mr and Mrs Peltz-Beckham) have indicated that it’s highly unlikely Brooklyn will attend any of Harper’s celebrations. They shared that he feels disconnected from the Beckham family, expressing that he no longer seems to belong.

If his older brother doesn’t attend his only sister’s birthday party, it will undeniably show that he has become rather weak-willed since marrying Nicola Peltz, a billionaire heiress who appears to disdain his family, yet seems to be leveraging the Beckham name to boost her own influence as an influencer and actress.

It seems that Brooklyn hasn’t shown up for any of the recent gatherings within the Beckham family, not even at David’s 50th celebration, and if he intends to miss out on Harper’s special occasion as well, we can only hope he reaches out to her directly in private.

We can only wish he’ll make sure to remind her that despite any issues between the Beckhams and Peltzes, she remains his beloved little sister, and his affection for her remains unchanged.

Maybe he might arrange a private jet ride from Los Angeles, and surprise her with an adult, intimate dinner, away from prying eyes and his unpleasant entourage, including his nasty group of friends – just the two of them enjoying some quality time together.

In truth, I find myself deeply and irretrievably disconnected from my dad and my immediate family as the eldest child of Brooklyn.

On their 25th wedding anniversary, his parents rejoiced without any words of congratulations from Brooklyn, despite sharing photos featuring the family, including Brooklyn, during joyous moments.

Let’s rewind a few years to when Brooklyn and Nicola began their romantic journey. At that time, Harper expressed a delightful anticipation about her older brother getting married. Deep down, she fervently wished that Nicola would take on the role of a protective older sister figure for her, considering she was growing up surrounded by brothers in her home.

It’s clear that such a scenario was highly unlikely – driven by her intense ambition and insecurity, Nicola would hardly consider sharing her less intelligent spouse, who serves more as a trophy, with others.

He’s not clever enough to understand that she’s leveraging the Beckham brand to elevate her own profile and acting career, which is still in its early stages.

Among all the unfortunate consequences that followed Brooklyn’s rejection of his family, it is Harper who I find myself feeling the deepest compassion towards.

She goes to one of London’s most elite private schools and, on the outside, appears to live a lavish lifestyle thanks to her jet-setting, affluent parents. However, at just 14 years old, she may find the emotional disconnect from Brooklyn particularly painful due to her youth.

She’s not prepared for the challenging world of social media, and her parents have been successful in shielding her so far. This teenager is a big fan of horseback riding and owns a Cockapoo dog named Simba, which I assume was named after the determined yet solitary young lion prince from The Lion King.

Once Harper entered the world, it was disclosed that she had been given an additional name, ‘Seven’. Her father explained that this name represented spiritual completeness, the Seven Wonders of the World, the Seven Colors of the Rainbow, and in numerous cultures, it signified good fortune.

Unfortunately for Harper, reconnecting with her brother Brooklyn may prove challenging due to his protective companion, who bears a striking resemblance to the cunning and treacherous Scar from The Lion King’s female counterpart.

It might benefit Brooklyn to keep in mind that having a big brother is forever, and it’d be lovely if the connection between him and Harper persists, regardless of Nicola’s temperamental nature. Hopefully, he will eventually understand that the bonds of blood are more significant than the wealth accumulated by Nicola’s family.
