Month after month brings fresh changes, and following the significant June 2025 update in Clash Royale, we’re now welcoming the latest Legendary card for Season 73, along with the regular features such as a groundbreaking Card Evolution. Let me share all the juicy details with you!
Clash Royale Season 73 ‘Dress to Empress’ July 2025 Update Overview
New Card: Spirit Empress
Previously, I provided the specifics in the latest article’s update, but allow me to offer further insights. Intriguingly, a fresh addition to the roster of new cards released this year is this extraordinary card. The Spirit Empress, an innovative character, presents a unique mechanic: she assumes two distinct forms based on the amount of Elixir available.
If you equip her with 3 to 5.9 Elixir, she takes on the role of a ground melee combatant, dealing substantial damage. However, when you have 6 or more Elixir, she arrives for battle upon a dragon, transforming into an airborne ranged unit that boasts increased health and coverage.
In this character, the form you see isn’t determined by your choice; instead, it transforms based on the Elixir you have at hand. This gives her an impressive adaptability, but it also means she requires careful handling to utilize effectively. On the ground, she packs a punch similar to a Mini P.E.K.K.A., while in flight, she boasts good range and can typically withstand most spells cast against her.

New Evolution: Skeleton Barrel
The Upgraded Skeleton Barrel now poses a significant danger, as its advanced form grants increased stats and provides you with not one, but two barrels, much like the enhanced Goblin Barrel.
Whenever the Enhanced Skull Container sustains damage and sheds a quarter of its health points, it prematurely drops one of its barrels. Despite this early drop, both barrels will still unleash seven skeletons apiece upon explosion. You’ll only obtain the upgraded version every third time you use the card in play.

The Free Pass features a total of 90 levels, offering you an assorted collection of Gold Crates, Lucky Drops, Card Boost Potions, and a few Wild Shards. Additionally, you’ll receive several Giant Chests and Battle Banners throughout your journey.
However, choosing the Diamond Pass offers a significant boost in excitement. It rewards you with 6 Inferno Dragon Evolution Shards, a variety of Wild Cards across all rarities, a Magical Chest, and even a Legendary King’s Chest.
Additionally, it’s been verified that the unique “Tower Skin,” specifically the “Spirit Empress Tower Skin,” will be available through the “Pass Royale” update. This special skin can be unlocked once you reach Tier 10 within the Premium Tier of the Pass Royale, meaning you’ll get a swift reward with minimal advancement.
Furthermore, there’s an Emote included, along with a collection of Lucky Drops that have increased chances for higher-star items. Additionally, you’ll enjoy premium benefits such as a Golden Name tag, the ability to rejoin challenges without cost, and premium gifts for your clan. Definitely worth it if you’re aiming for the best rewards and cosmetics.
Balance Updates and Other Details
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m excited to share that the upcoming update will introduce several banners and emotes for us to enjoy. Additionally, some fan-favorite cards are set to receive a power boost. These include the Bats, Goblins, Skeleton Barrel, and Skeleton King. However, specific details about the July 2025 Balance Updates have yet to be announced, so stay tuned for more information!
