Julian McMahon, the star of Fantastic Four and Nip/Tuck, has died at the age of 56.

On July 2nd, the actor, known for roles in shows like Charmed and FBI: Most Wanted, passed away at his Florida residence after a long fight against cancer. His wife, Kelly, released a statement about it through Deadline.

In a heartfelt manner, she expressed that her cherished spouse, Julian McMahon, passed away tranquilly during the past week, following a brave fight against cancer. She also mentioned that the departed actor held deep affection for his family, companions, profession, and admirers.

After a short stint playing Ben Lucini on the Australian soap “Home and Away” in the early ’90s, McMahon then appeared as Dr. Christian Troy in the FX medical series “Nip/Tuck,” which spanned six seasons from 2003 to 2010.

In the 2005 movie named Fantastic Four, McMahon took on the character Victor Von Doom, a role he reprised for the sequel titled Rise of the Silver Surfer in 2007. His latest projects include appearing in Netflix’s The Residence and The Surfer, where he acted alongside Nicholas Cage.

Cage honored McMahon through a statement given to Deadline, calling him a “considerate and intelligent” individual who was an exceptionally “gifted actor”. He further expressed that their shared scenes on The Surfer were among his most cherished acting experiences and that Julian is one of his dearest friends.

Ioan Gruffudd, who acted alongside McMahon in the Fantastic Four films, posted on Instagram: “I’m deeply saddened by the news about Julian… Every interaction with him was a pleasure. It was an honor to portray Dr. Richards opposite his Dr. Doom. My thoughts are with his wife and family.

I’m deeply saddened to learn about the death of my friend Julian. Life is truly valuable and delicate. My sympathies go out to his family. Rest in peace, Jules,” Michael Chiklis, a fellow cast member from the Fantastic Four, expressed. Meanwhile, Kelly Carlson, who worked with him on Nip/Tuck, said he was the essence of charm on the show.

As a devoted fan, I felt privileged when I had the chance to work alongside McMahon during the filming of The Deb, an Aussie treasure who was a true delight. This remarkable individual was not only extraordinarily gifted but also incredibly kind-hearted.
