Brad Pitt’s ‘biggest regret’ revealed after blockbuster Angelina Jolie divorce
Brad Pitt is reportedly trying to move forward with his life despite lingering regrets.
The 61-year-old actor, who had his home burglarized while he was out promoting his latest hit racing drama F1, remains troubled by his “greatest remorse” following his divorce from Angelina Jolie, according to a source speaking to Us Weekly this week.
They mentioned that the divorce had dominated his life for such a long time. Despite his love for her, he acknowledges that he’s made errors in their relationship.
The source stated that his strained connection with his kids, which they claim is beyond repair, is one of the issues at hand.
DailyMail.com has contacted Pitt’s representative for comment but hasn’t yet received a response.
The source continued by characterizing Pitt and Jolie’s eight-year divorce process as a highly contentious and poisonous environment.

This previous duo has a total of six kids: Maddox (age 23), Pax (age 21), Zahara (age 20), Shiloh (age 19), and the 16-year-olds, Knox and Vivienne.
Brad and Angelina started seeing each other following their collaboration on the movie “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” released in 2005, and eventually got married in 2014.
In 2016, it was Angelina Jolie who initiated the divorce proceedings, following an unfortunate event on a private plane where she alleged that Brad Pitt had behaved abusively towards her and their children, under the influence of alcohol.
In the wake of their separation and divorce, Brad’s relationship with his children began to suffer
According to reports, the incidents leading up to the separation, such as the aircraft argument, and the bitter legal dispute that followed had a significant impact, causing the children to develop a negative sentiment towards him. However, it was emphasized that Brad Pitt does not hold Angelina Jolie entirely responsible for these circumstances.
Despite Pitt apparently aiming to mend his bond with his kids, a source disclosed to DailyMail.com the reasons he considers their relationship ‘irreparable.’
According to a source from Us Weekly, his deepest sorrow lies in the fact that he cannot mend his relationships with his children. The case may be closed, but there are no victors in this situation.
Although he felt ‘gratified’ to have concluded the divorce process, the source pointed out that the long-term effects would be something he would carry for the rest of his life.

Moving past the divorce didn’t provide complete solace for him, since he struggles with maintaining a strong bond with his children.
Pitt’s tense connection with his kids reached a notable point when his daughter, Shiloh, filed a court petition in August 2024, seeking to discontinue using his surname.
In a shift since attending college, Zahara, one of his daughters, identifies herself solely using her mother’s surname. Similarly, Vivienne, another daughter, has been known by ‘Jolie’ as her last name when she was acknowledged in Playbill for her role in producing the Broadway musical The Outsiders with her mother.
In simpler terms, the two eldest, his sons Maddox and Pax (who were adopted), have spoken out strongly against their father.
Pitt continues to have visitation rights with his minor twins according to their custody arrangement with Jolie, however, it’s reported that he seldom interacts with his grown-up kids.
Regardless of the strained bond with his kids, the Academy Award recipient is said to have found a fresh equilibrium in his life, largely due to his commitment to staying sober, a decision made following his separation from Jolie.
‘Ever since he stopped drinking, everything has changed,’ the source claimed.
They additionally mentioned that his former wife remains unwilling, if not unable, to pardon him or to do so in the future.

Previously, Pitt confessed that he needed a break following the collapse of his marriage, prompting him to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
During that period, I was open to every suggestion and help from anyone. It was a challenging phase in my life. Reflecting on it, I realized I had to make significant changes in certain aspects of my life,” he shared during his appearance on the June 23 episode of Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast. “I needed a wake-up call.
After parting ways with Jolie, Pitt has recently been spending a lot of time with Ines de Ramon, who is 32 years old and with whom he appears to be very close.
During an interview with GQ in May, Brad was questioned about whether him and Ines decided to unveil their relationship publicly at the British Grand Prix scheduled for July 2024, possibly as a means of boosting publicity for his forthcoming movie “F1”.
‘No, dude, it’s not that calculated,’ he responded.
He stated, “If one is constantly calculating life’s every move – oh, how tiring that must be! Life simply unfolds naturally. Relationships develop in the same way.” He added a remark about having endured extensive public scrutiny for most of his time in the limelight.
