Chainsaw Man Fans Get Long-Awaited Anime Update

Fans worldwide have eagerly awaited the movie release of “Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc” for three years since Season 1 debuted. So far, they’ve seen just a teaser and an official trailer.

In about three years since the first season of “Chainsaw Man” wrapped up, fans won’t have to wait much longer for the international premiere of “Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc”. The upcoming reveal was shared during a panel at Anime Expo, where Manabu Otsuka (president of MAPPA studio) and Hiroya Hasegawa (vice-president) graced the stage. Alongside the host, they unveiled the new trailer, release details, and additional information about ongoing MAPPA projects. The panel took place on July 3 from approximately 4-4.40 p.m. Pacific Time, featuring the movie’s theme song by Kenshi Yonezu, titled “IRIS OUT.

Previously announced, the movie adaptation titled “Chainsaw Man: The Movie – Reze Arc” is set to hit theaters on September 19, approximately six weeks after its Japanese premiere. The newly released trailer offers a deeper look into what fans of “Chainsaw Man” can expect from the upcoming film. Unlike recent anime films like “Spy x Family Code: White,” “Reze Arc” is not an original production but rather an adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s original “Bomb-Girl Arc” manga series.

In the movie “Chainsaw Man: The Movie – Reze Arc,” our protagonist Denji finds himself drawn to a mysterious woman named Reze. However, without his knowledge, she holds a hidden, potentially perilous intention towards him. This film is penned by Fujimoto and Hiroshi Seko, helmed by Tatsuya Yoshihara, and features Kikinoskue Toya, Tomori Kusunoki, Shôgo Sakata, Ai Fairouz, and Reina Ueda in lead roles.
