Popular radio duo set the record straight on persistent romance rumours

The latest sensations on Sydney’s airwaves, Luisa Dal Din and Jack Archdale (often referred to as Lu and Jarch), are frequently surrounded by rumors hinting at a romantic relationship.

Performing a brief online search on the co-hosts of the Triple M drive-time and We Mean Well podcast indicates they are married, however, their closest friends assert this is merely fictional speculation and they are not in a romantic relationship.

‘Absolutely not,’ Jarch told Sydney Confidential on Friday.

Lu made it clear that there was a funny misunderstanding, revealing that they both are content in relationships with others.

‘No, no. It says that Jarch is married, not to me, and I have a partner, Lachlan,’ she said.

While she acknowledged their evident ‘unique connection’ during their broadcast, it certainly adds fuel to the rumors.

Jarch went on to clarify, stating: “It appears to be a website created by users who can modify the information, making it unique to them.

Lu and Jarch have recently secured prominent roles in Sydney’s competitive radio environment, now hosting the early evening drive-time program across all Triple M stations owned by Southern Cross Austereo on a national scale.

They achieved notability following several years of hard work in radio, and approximately three years ago, they started their popular podcast titled “We Mean Well,” which has been successful.

It’s amazing how things worked out for us; it seems like fate was on our side when our venture took flight, allowing us to leave our old jobs behind and turn this into a full-time endeavor – quite unbelievable! (Lu said)

According to Lu, 31, a huge part of their winning formula is simply being ‘good friends.’

Over the next couple of weeks, when most radio hosts are off the air, Lu and Jarch will keep broadcasting to further strengthen their recently gained traction.

Triple M recently suffered a brutal blow in the third radio ratings survey of 2025.

The survey indicates that the Sydney breakfast show hosted by Beau Ryan, Aaron ‘Woodsy’ Woods, and Cat Lynch is still experiencing a decline in its listener base.

In the most recent survey, the three-member group saw a further 1.5% decrease in their market share, lowering it from 5.9% to 4.4%. This follows a 1.5% loss they experienced in survey two.

This week, I’ve been navigating through some challenges, as my broadcasting station, Triple M, experienced a dip in ratings across all time slots in Sydney.

In the meantime, while another station, 2DAY, increased its breakfast market share by 0.5 percent, the new hosting team of Jimmy Smith, Emma Chow, and Nath Roye were delighted with this development.

As a dedicated admirer, I can’t help but rejoice! My beloved station has climbed to an impressive 4.5 overall rating, surging ahead by 0.2 points! This growth is a clear sign that we’re narrowing the gap on Triple M’s market share of 4.9. The race is on, and I can hardly contain my excitement for what’s next!
