Christopher Eccleston’s British drama Come Home has found a new streaming home in the UK.
In 2018, a heart-wrenching story unfolds about a hardworking father living in Northern Ireland, who is unexpectedly left alone to care for their trio of children, as his spouse decides to leave.
Initially, he ventures back into the dating scene, but a contentious child custody dispute quickly arises, leaving both parties determined to secure victory in this legal battle.
Originally broadcasted on BBC One in 2018, the entire three-episode series of “Come Home” can now be streamed on Channel 4’s platform.
In addition to Eccleston, the series also features Paula Malcolmson from Ray Donovan, Anthony Boyle known for Derry Girls, Lola Petticrew hailing from Say Nothing, and Kerri Quinn as well.

The majority of the 19 reviews on IMDB are favorable, with viewers commending the actors’ performances and acknowledging that the storyline equally addresses the struggles faced by both sets of parents.
This movie was a raw, insightful portrayal of the genuine realities faced by both characters, leaving viewers in tears and second-guessing their actions. The acting was superb, and despite its brevity, it left an indelible impression.
The first sentence could be rephrased as: “I was captivated from the start and couldn’t tear myself away.”
“It grabbed my attention immediately and I haven’t been able to look away since – it’s the best drama I’ve seen in ages.”
3. The third reviewer could have said: “I can’t stop watching it – it’s compulsively addictive.

4 Channel also recently included “Shallow Grave” in their lineup, another production by Eccleston that marked the full-length directorial debut of Danny Boyle (the team behind the well-known “28 Days Later”, currently available for streaming on BBC iPlayer and NOW).
As a dedicated Whovian, I can’t contain my excitement! Next month, I’ll get to witness the return of the Ninth Doctor, played by none other than himself, alongside Billie Piper, in fresh audio adventures from the world of Doctor Who. Can’t wait!
Come Home is available now on Channel 4.
