Disney Superfan Abandons Ship Over Soaring Costs and Woke Agenda
A video shared by a long-standing Disney enthusiast and frequent visitor named “Mally Mouse,” featuring Oswald the Lucky Rabbit ears, has become popular this week. In it, Mally records what she refers to as her final journey to Disneyland, symbolizing the conclusion of a cherished lifelong tradition. This video struck a chord with numerous viewers, who commented on the increasing costs associated with trips and the changes in Disney’s cultural direction.
“As an avid fan of Disney and Disneyland, it takes a lot to push me away,” she admitted.

In the video, Mally shares that she’s held an annual pass to Disneyland for much of her lifetime, considering it a sentimental spot. Yet, she expressed that escalating prices were the main factor leading to her ceasing visits to the park.
“For me, the bottom line is, it’s simply not worth the money,” she said.

After her ticket renewal in May 2024, she observed a 30% increase in ticket prices, excluding additional expenses such as food, merchandise, accommodations at nearby hotels, and fuel costs. Mally also voiced annoyance regarding changes to Disney’s business strategy, particularly the discontinuation of the free FastPass system, now replaced by the paid Lightning Lane service.
She remarked that Disney appears to have lost focus on their audience, pointing out that they now charge for a cherished service which had significantly enhanced guest experiences in the past.

Beyond expressing economic reservations, Mally also expressed dissent regarding some of Disney’s recent social and cultural stances. She specifically objected to the company’s marketing of Pride Nights at their family-oriented theme park and the availability of Pride-themed merchandise for children. In response to those who inquired about her continued financial support of a company she no longer aligns with, she simply stated, “I’m not.
Response
The video is swiftly becoming popular on social networking platforms, with numerous users expressing accord with Mally’s viewpoint. Despite Disney remaining silent in public about the video, the wider discussion underscores the ongoing friction between escalating expenses, evolving societal norms, and the historical image of one of America’s most esteemed entertainment corporations.

Mally Mouse’s choice underscores the disappointment felt by longtime Disney fans, as they perceive the company distancing itself from them. She mourned the fact that the “good old times” have irrevocably passed.
