Mel B to throw £28,000 lavish wedding party at the Shard after she ties the knot for the third time with fiancé Rory McPhee at St Paul’s Cathedral

After getting married to her fiancé, Rory McPhee, at St. Paul’s Cathedral this coming Saturday, Mel B has arranged a grand “sky party” as part of their wedding festivities, having booked the Shard in London for post-wedding celebrations.

It’s been disclosed that the Spice Girl will enjoy a meal, drinks, and dancing with her companions at the Shangri-La location within the skyscraper offering 95 stories and breathtaking vistas of the city.

In the wee hours, I’ll be joining my cherished friends and kin in a grand celebration, as the couple themselves have promised an unforgettable event, billed as the ‘century party’.

Mel, 50, will also stay at the hotel on Friday night with her bridesmaids and close family.

According to a source connected with the wedding, it’s set to be an impressive affair. The Shard, known for its breathtaking vistas, promises to host an unforgettable event, making it truly remarkable.

Not only is it near St. Paul’s, but it also happens to be in a fortunate location for Mel. This will be her third attempt, and this time, she plans to fully enjoy herself and celebrate.

As a devoted admirer, I’d express it this way: ‘I’m all about cloud-kissed nuptials with unforgettable London vistas, just like The Shard promises for newlyweds – an experience as captivating as my love story itself. That’s exactly what Mel yearns for.’

The festivities are going to be quite expensive. Shangri-La typically costs approximately £280 per individual, so the performer would need to spend around £28,000 merely on their meal and a few beverages.

There will then be other costs including DJs, venue hire and extra beverages.

Standing proudly at a height of 310 meters with 95 stories, The Shard is the United Kingdom’s highest building and the fourth tallest in Europe. It has previously hosted numerous high-profile events in entertainment, such as the after-party for Sony Music following the BRIT Awards.

It appears that Mel plans to transport her guests using classic London buses from St Paul’s Cathedral, specifically the old Routemasters, reminiscent of the ones featured in the movie Spice World. These vehicles were adapted from vintage models. The destination is situated at the base of London Bridge’s southern end, also known as The Shard.

It was announced yesterday that Victoria Beckham and Geri Halliwell won’t make it to the event, and it remains uncertain whether Emma Bunton or Melanie Chisholm will attend as well. This has led to a noticeable thinning of the high-profile attendees list.

Reports indicate that Posh, aged 51, is expected to be out of the country, and Geri’s absence could potentially be due to the tumultuous state of her relationship with Mel.

After Mel shared in an interview on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories that she once had a close romantic connection with Geri, the two women found themselves at odds.

2019 brought a shocking disclosure that left Geri feeling incredibly distressed, and as far as I know, Mel hasn’t offered an apology for it yet.

Sources also say that Geri’s husband Christian Horner was ‘mortified’ about Mel’s claims.

After eloping to Las Vegas in 2007, she married Stephen Belafonte. The following year, they held a vow renewal ceremony in Egypt.

Following their separation in 2016, she alleged incidents of both emotional and physical abuse against him, a claim he has consistently refuted. Meanwhile, his legal team stated that throughout their marriage, a significant portion of her £50million wealth was utilized.

Mel grew close to McPhee after the breakdown of her marriage to Belafonte.

Her daughter, Phoenix, along with thirty-five companions, participated in the celebrations. These events featured a sumptuous feast and dancing near the ocean.

The hen do also included a leopard print themed night, as well as a belly dancing class.
