Khloe Kardashian reveals how Lamar Odom divorce ‘prepared’ her for split from cheating ex Tristan Thompson

Khloe Kardashian openly discussed that her divorce from Lamar Odom served as a prelude, providing her with necessary preparation, for the highly-publicized separation from her unfaithful former partner, Tristan Thompson.

On the latest episode of her Khloe In Wonder Land podcast, the television host, aged 41, candidly discussed her past cosmetic surgeries, clarifying any misconceptions.

Previously, the television personality was wedded to a retired NBA athlete from 2009 up until their divorce in 2016. Later, there were on-again, off-again relationships with Thompson that lasted from 2016 until they parted ways in 2021 due to his involvement in multiple scandals.

During her Q&A session, Khloe was inquired about a time when she felt most powerful or strong in her personal life.

The mom-of-two started by saying, “I can’t point to a single instance, but I sense that numerous experiences throughout my life have equipped me with the resilience to handle various situations.

It seems to me that every experience we encounter throughout life is destined to occur, and though not all of these events may be favorable, I still believe there’s a purpose behind why specific occurrences happen in our lives.

Later on, Khloe referenced her previous marriage to Lamar and expressed, “Dealing with a highly-publicized divorce, much like what I experienced.

Indeed, it was a matter between him and myself, a profound love affair that has sadly come to an end. The publicity surrounding it was unprecedented for me – something I hadn’t experienced before. However, I managed to navigate through it all with the unwavering support of my family.

According to the founder of The Good American, this incident served as a crucial stepping stone towards the next major challenging event I encountered.

She mentioned that it was when Tristan deceived her just before the birth of our oldest child, True (who is now 7 years old). Khloe is the mother of True as well as their other son, Tatum (2 years old), along with Tristan.

Admittedly, nothing truly prepares you for an experience like that. It wasn’t the infidelity that was particularly shocking. After all, many people have been through similar situations.

However, my situation was unique because I was due to give birth in just two days. The pregnancy was highly visible and the news was widespread.

Or:
My circumstances were extraordinary since I was about to deliver a baby soon. My pregnancy was quite public, and the news of it was ubiquitous.

In simpler terms, the media figure stated, ‘I believe I dealt with it as well as I could given the circumstances, as I had some, or even a significant amount, of prior experience through my divorce with Lamar. This previous encounter helped me prepare.’

Later on, Khloe clarified that if the event had been an isolated occurrence, she isn’t sure if she could have managed to deal with it alone.

Each step and challenge in my life has been a formative experience that strengthens me, leaving me feeling powerful after I’ve conquered them.

She also expressed pride in herself for managing various challenging situations in her life, as she spoke.

In August 2009, Khloe Kardashian initially met Lamar Odom, and surprisingly enough, they got married only a month later in September, at an extravagant wedding in Beverly Hills.

Back in 2011, the previous pair graced our screens in their self-titled reality show, “Khloe & Lamar,” which lasted an impressive run of two full seasons.

In the year 2013, four years into their marriage, Khloe chose to file for divorce from Lamar amidst allegations surrounding his struggles with substance abuse.

In the year 2015, just before their divorce was completed, the well-known television personality quickly went to Lamar Odom’s aid when he was hospitalized in Las Vegas, having been discovered unconscious at a brothel.

After his hospital stay, the Kardashians decided to put their divorce on hold and started spending more time together again.

However, back in May 2016, Khloe chose to file for divorce again. A source shared with People that this was part of their original plan, and the divorce had never actually been canceled. Instead, Khloe was merely waiting for an opportune moment to proceed.

She remained faithful for a considerable period and took good care of him, yet it’s important to remember that she isn’t a nanny. Instead, she must focus on advancing her own life.

In the very same year that Khloe’s divorce from Lamar was made official, she began a romantic relationship with Tristan Thompson.

The former couple began dating in 2016 – and welcomed their first child, True, in April 2018.

Instead, while she was carrying their daughter, Tristan was unfaithful to the TV personality. When this surprising revelation became public, they chose to stay together.

In reply to a Twitter user that same year, Khloe stated, “You’re unaware of the happenings within our household and the massive effort it requires just to exist together.

I take pride in my resilience. I value your perspective, and I wish for you to extend the same admiration to others who have persevered through similar circumstances.

In the year 2019, they parted ways following an incident where Thompson kissed Jordyn Woods, a friend of Kylie Jenner who was on and off friends with her, at a gathering. However, they rekindled their relationship during the Covid-19 pandemic, spending quarantine together.

In June 2021, they called off their relationship for a second time. At the time, a source shared with Us Weekly that despite being exes, they maintained a friendly rapport and would continue to co-parent together.

In the same year, Maralee Nichols filed a lawsuit against Tristan for child support following the birth of their son that very month.

In the time when Thompson was still romantically involved with Khloe, she discovered she was carrying a child. Subsequently, a paternity test revealed that Thompson was indeed the baby’s father, who turned out to be a boy.

The professional basketball player offered an apology to Khloe, saying, “You shouldn’t have to endure this pain. You didn’t deserve the suffering and embarrassment I inflicted upon you.

I realize now that I haven’t treated you as you deserve throughout our relationship. My actions didn’t reflect how much I truly value you. I hold deep respect and love for you, regardless of any doubts you might have. Once again, I am very sorry.

On July 28, 2022, the pair welcomed their second child – son Tatum – via surrogate.

Together with his son, Theo (who is shared with Nichols), Thompson is also a father to Prince. He had the baby boy, Prince, with his former partner, Jordan Craig.

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but follow their journey. Despite the multiple infidelity allegations they’ve faced, it seems like they’ve managed to move forward, leaving their past missteps behind.

In the previous month, during June, the duo presented a unified image while escorting their two kids for tennis coaching sessions.

Over the recent weekend, Khloe was part of her renowned family as they attended the grand wedding ceremony of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez in Venice.

Subsequently, she outlined the steps, encompassing a rhinoplasty, Botox injections, dermal fillers, a soft wave laser treatment for skin firming, and facial treatments using salmon roe.
