Julie Chrisley reveals the cruel prank that was played on her in prison before Trump pardon

In a recent episode of her daughter Savannah Chrisley’s Unlocked podcast, Julie Chrisley reflected on her experience of over two years spent in prison.

In the year 2022, Julie, aged 52, and her spouse Todd, 56, were found guilty of masterminding a $30 million bank fraud and tax avoidance plan. They have since been incarcerated for multiple years due to this conviction.

During that time, she resided at the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky; meanwhile, her husband stayed at the Federal Prison Camp in Pensacola, Florida.

In May, President Donald Trump granted clemency to several reality TV personalities, who were subsequently freed from their prisons within a matter of hours following his decision.

During their conversation on Savannah’s podcast, Julie narrated an unkind episode where she claimed she had been tricked and left confined within a cafeteria.

In a conversational manner, “Savannah, who is 27 years old, shared with her mother, ‘I’ll always remember that day when you phoned, sobbing heavily due to the actions of that difficult correctional officer, C.O.’.

‘Oh yeah, he was a food service [worker],’ Julie noted. ‘Yeah. He’s since retired.’

Savannah explained that the employee intentionally acted out against her mother, doing so out of anger towards her.

In her words, she described him as deeply unhappy, and that’s certainly how it seems for everyone else too, Todd pointed out.

In Florida, he expressed that the people around him seemed unhappy. Every morning, his primary goal was to amplify their misery since they were present to make our lives difficult.

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but reflect on my frequent visits to the institution where my mother was held during those trying times. It seems to me that she experienced a more challenging ordeal compared to others there, a hardship I can’t help but refer to as ‘severe’.

‘I think that’s the way that it is for women in general,’ her dad chimed in.

In the group of less satisfactory options, Julie’s extended wait for an appeal and absence of air conditioning stood out as particularly problematic.

Todd pointed out that he had issue with the temperature in his camp, and within a week, they furnished him with new air conditioning units.

Julie mentioned that since we didn’t possess the item initially, there was no chance for us to repair it.

Mrs. Chrisley previously revealed that she developed asthma during her 28 months behind bars.

Last week, she expressed amazement during her interview with ABC News, saying, ‘Just a month ago, I was incarcerated, worrying about the upcoming summer without air conditioning. Now, I’m back home instead.’

Savannah, a strong advocate for her parents’ early release, had spoken about the challenging circumstances at the Kentucky facility on her Unlocked podcast during the previous summer.

Inside the visitation area, it’s fortunate to have air conditioning, however, beyond that room, there isn’t any air conditioning, and the temperature outside was between 105 and 110 degrees Fahrenheit, she pointed out during that time.

The thoughtful daughter remarked, “That’s her living situation, with no ventilation at all, and temperatures reaching a sweltering 100 degrees indoors.

Savannah went on to say, ‘She literally said that she got physically sick because she got so hot.’
