Sophie Ellis-Bextor, 46, looks ethereal in a feathered mint green gown as she leads arrivals at Silver Clef Awards
At the Nordoff & Robbins’ O2 Silver Clef Awards 2025, held at JW Marriott Grosvenor House in London on a Wednesday, Sophie Ellis-Bextor was the talk of the arrivals due to her captivating presence.
The 46-year-old vocalist was captivatingly beautiful in a long, pleated maxi dress of fresh mint green, adorned with eye-catching feathered sleeves that added a touch of drama.
She incorporated some extra height with stylish silver block pumps, and accessorized elegantly with a pearl handbag adorned with her name in shimmering rhinestones.
Sophie beamed as she posed for photographers before heading into the star-studded event.
Also in attendance were Myleene Klass, Lisa Stansfield, Natalie Imbruglia, Edith Bowman, and Mika.
Myleene, aged 47, exuded timeless elegance in a sharp white suit, whereas Lisa, at 58, turned heads with her striking black outfit featuring a deep neckline.

Natalie, 50, opted for a sharp tuxedo look, and Mika, 41, stood out in a bold pinstripe suit.
The Silver Clef Awards is an annual music awards ceremony and fundraiser for Nordoff and Robbins.
As a die-hard music enthusiast, I can’t help but be enthralled by the opportunity to attend this event that honors exceptional musical accomplishments. Not only does it provide a platform for musicians to shine, but it also raises crucial funds for the charity’s music therapy initiatives – a cause close to my heart. This is more than just a concert; it’s a beacon of hope and healing through the power of music.
In the evening hours, Sophie graciously accepted the Best Female Accolade, striking a pose with her prize on the crimson-hued carpet.
The award winners were announced last month, ahead of the star-studded event.
In conversation about her victory, Sophie shared with Music Week: “Winning the Best Female accolade holds tremendous significance for me. Truly, it’s an honor beyond description.
Music has consistently served as a powerful source of refreshment for me. It aids in rebalancing my emotions and boosting my mood, while also providing a means to foster connections with others.
Being honored in such a manner, particularly by an organization like Nordoff & Robbins that utilizes music to bring happiness and inspire, is genuinely unique.

Mika was honored with the Global Impact Award, acknowledging his global achievements as a top-ranking musician in the music charts.
As a devoted enthusiast, I had the privilege of witnessing The Last Dinner Party being recognized with the prestigious Best New Music Award, and it was equally thrilling to celebrate as Aurora received the Contemporary Music Award in her category.
The occasion follows closely on the heels of Sophie’s discussion about the challenging phase of perimenopause and the stereotype that women should retreat into obscurity, which she tackled in her latest album titled “Perimenopop.
At the tender age of twenty-one, the vocalist shot to prominence for the first time when she achieved her debut number one single, Groovejet (If This Isn’t Love), collaborating with Spiller in the year 2000. Since then, she has become a familiar name across many homes.
Twenty-five years after her chart-topping success, this artist is preparing to launch her newest work. In a recent interview with Good Housekeeping UK, she expresses that her new release challenges the idea that pop music is exclusively for young people. Instead, she playfully criticizes the often misrepresented ‘challenging phase’ women experience as they grow older.
As a devoted admirer, I’d express it as follows: “I find Perimonpop to be an exuberant expression of Sophie’s current phase, a testament to her self-awareness and acceptance. It resonates with the happiness and strength she embodies, making it a profound celebration of her identity.

Speaking to a publication regarding her album’s inspiration, Sophie expressed similar thoughts when she said, “The notion persists that only the youth create pop music. Once I decided on the album title, I felt liberated, like ‘I can now truly express myself.’
This record takes a humorous approach to this somber period and the storyline suggesting women should retreat and fade away… I, however, don’t resonate with that sentiment at all.
Recently, Sophie has experienced a significant revival in her career. Her 2001 song “Murder On The Dancefloor” has seen a resurgence in popularity after it was utilized by filmmaker Emerald Fennell for the climactic one-shot scene of her critically acclaimed 2023 film, Saltburn.
One camera follows Barry Keoghan as he dances bare in the halls of his recently acquired grand mansion, set to music, which was a significant moment that attracted a younger audience and brought Sophie back onto the charts with a second place ranking, marking her first top ten hit since 2007.
She mentioned about the track gaining popularity: “I was at home during Christmas when things began to heat up online. The entire situation was magnificent. And it wasn’t just beneficial for me, but for my entire team as well. We had a hectic 2023, so we were ready for action. We could easily increase our speed.
Three years ago, when she began her popular kitchen disco parties during the COVID-19 lockdown, it seemed like a stark contrast to what she had envisioned earlier for her career. As she admitted, at the time of her first live broadcast, she thought it marked the ‘end of my career’.
As a lifestyle expert, I must share an engaging insight: My “Kitchen Sessions” have truly resonated with the audience, offering a unique peek into my personal life. These sessions showcased my guitarist husband, Richard Jones, along with our five energetic boys – Sonny, 21, Kit, 16, Ray, 13, Jesse, nine, and adorable Mickey, six.
