“Unexpectedly great” crime series with Harlan Coben actor among starry cast is now streaming free
In the UK, you can now watch the highly anticipated TV version of Guy Ritchie’s film “Snatch” without charge, streaming it online.
The 2017 crime drama series, which is currently available for streaming on ITVX in the UK, boasts a star-studded cast that includes Marc Warren, who has previously appeared in Harlan Coben’s series “Missing You” and “Safe,” as well as Rupert Grint from “Servant,” Lucien Laviscount of “Emily in Paris,” and Luke Pasqualino from “Skins.” The entire series was added to Netflix earlier in the year and is now available for streaming on ITVX.
Originating from Ritchie’s 2000 gangster film “Snatch,” this production by Alex De Rakoff follows a band of young swindlers, portrayed by Pasqualino, Grint, and Laviscount. They unexpectedly come across a truck filled with pilfered gold bars, leading them to the underworld of London’s criminal network.

As a devoted admirer, I’m thrilled to share that the captivating series, Snatch, boasts an impressive cast. Notably, it features Phoebe Dynevor, who stole our hearts as Daphne Bridgerton. Additionally, we have Stephanie Leonidas and Dougray Scott gracing our screens. Moreover, the second season will be enriched by the presence of Úrsula Corbero, a familiar face from Money Heist.
The IMDb audience has given the crime series a variety of opinions, with some calling it surprisingly excellent.
Despite “not [being] perfect”, the viewer’s review gave it a 10/10 as it “was very fun to watch”.
“I was left thinking about it for days after and wanting more,” they wrote.
Another person referred to it as a “lighter” take on the film “Snatch”, awarding it a 6/10 because they felt it was overly watered-down compared to the original movie. However, a third viewer commended the series for its promising start but noted that it fails to fully deliver on its initial promise.
“It just kept going downhill. Very disappointing considering how good the movie was,” the noted.
Simultaneously, certain enthusiasts of the original appreciated the television version, notably its cast and script, as well as its divergence from the movie.
One viewer enthusiastically remarked that each episode keeps them just as captivated and thrilling as the previous ones. They praised the talented cast and commended the exceptional writing, adding that the performances are spot-on.
As a fellow enthusiast, if you’re yearning for a nostalgic echo of Guy Ritchie’s classic work, I must warn you, this series isn’t it. However, if you’re open to a fresh take on crime capers with engaging characters and sharp, well-crafted dialogue, then Snatch is definitely worth your time!
Snatch seasons 1 and 2 are available to stream on ITVX and Netflix in the UK.
