This coming Sunday, the entertaining baseball team known as the Savannah Bananas – who became internet sensations with their amusing style of play – will be streaming live for your enjoyment.

Could there be a more exciting Fourth of July weekend, America? No. No, there could not be.

Jesse Cole, the proprietor of Savannah Bananas, fulfilled his dream reminiscent of Walt Disney after getting an opportunity to visit Disneyland and witnessing two sold-out matches at Angel Stadium.

12:30 PM local time on Sunday will see a replay of the Bananas versus Firefighters match, a game that took place at Anaheim Stadium at the end of May. This event is scheduled to happen at Fenway Park in Boston, which is where the Red Sox play their home games, and it can be live-streamed on The Roku Channel.

Jesse Cole, owner of Savannah Bananas, expressed excitement about soon introducing the thrilling game of Banana Ball to a nationwide audience via Roku. He hinted at some unexpected delights in store for Fenway Park as well!

It seems unnecessary to delay watching the Bananas play against the Texas Tailgaters on July 27 at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, unless one lacks internet access, as there’s no other apparent reason for the wait until the CW conducts its own broadcast.

For people not on TikTok, Instagram, or other social media platforms, or without banana-loving friends in real life, ‘Banana Ball’ is a unique exhibition baseball game. It’s filled with humor, gymnastics, lip-syncing, and catchy dance routines. Interestingly, the rules are quite different from those in Major League Baseball, even though some of the players once harbored dreams of playing professionally.

This year, the Savannah Bananas, a small-scale baseball team, embarked on their inaugural “Global Journey,” bringing their distinctive style of baseball to numerous American cities.

Just in some places, you’ll find unique spectacles such as baby races, dancing umpires, and acrobatic catches – stunts that aren’t common in Oklahoma City’s baseball scene. Moreover, these games are guaranteed to last no more than two hours. Even the pitch clock, a cherished feature of Major League Baseball, can’t promise such brevity.

This year, our team has managed to fill up 18 Major League baseball stadiums along with three football arenas capable of holding over 70,000 spectators each.

Each year, tickets are primarily distributed via a lottery system – and I’ve got to warn you, the waitlist for this lottery currently stands at over 3 million names! Still, if you decide to sign up now, the Bananas website will welcome you with open arms, but do remember to be patient as it might be next season before your luck comes knocking. Last season’s games attracted a total of one million fans, so it’s quite the popular event.

Joe Franzetta, head of Roku Media’s sports division, stated in a press release that there is no other sporting event quite like attending a Savannah Bananas game. He expressed excitement about leveraging their platform to broadcast the unique experience not only to dedicated fans but also to millions who are soon to discover something extraordinary.
