This Morning star Emma Kenny, 52, gives birth to her fourth child weeks after family tragedy
ITV star Emma Kenny, 52, has welcomed her fourth child.
A TV psychologist and podcast host, known for her appearances on “This Morning,” shared touching news on Instagram Tuesday, detailing that her baby girl was born recently, mere weeks following the sad passing of her own mother.
In the year 2023, Emma gave birth to Etta-Blue, her daughter, after a decade of trying to conceive with her husband, Pete Skywalker. Apart from sons Tyde, aged 22, and Evan, aged 20, Emma is also a mother from a previous marriage.
Posting photos taken after the birth Emma gushed: ‘Say hi Ella-Grey And then there were six!’
This morning, she made her grand entrance into the world with a powerful cry. The Royal Bolton Hospital has been exceptional in providing us with outstanding care.
Emma shared with her audience that she’s been mourning the loss of her mother, who passed away unexpectedly last month.

‘A few weeks ago, I unexpectedly lost my mother, and it feels unusual knowing that neither of my children won’t have the chance to meet their grandparents… They would have cherished them just as much as my boys did.’
In 2019, the television personality experienced the tragic loss of her father, who ended his life. Afterwards, she reflected, “I never thought I’d find happiness again.
In reality, I was mistaken beyond measure. It turns out that we’re not just designed to endure hardship; we’re actually wired to learn, evolve, and find strength in the process.
‘I cannot change what happened but I can embrace the gifts that grief brought me.’
She mentioned that her newborn has spent the entire day resting on her, latching onto her right away and living up to her expectations of pure joy… yet, similar to her sister, she was taken aback to find out that she is a girl.
‘So, now I have two very big boys of 20 and 22, and two tiny girls aged 1 day and 23 months.’
Emma openly discusses her thoughts on becoming an older mother, confessing before the birth of her oldest daughter two years ago that she felt self-centered in choosing to have a third child at the age of 50, as it took years away from their relationship.
As Emma values her role as a parent, she acknowledged during that period that having Etta later in life might limit the amount of time they’d have together as Etta matures into an adult.

In an interview with New magazine, she shared, “From start to finish, I experienced a lot of self-centered feelings. At times, I find myself yearning for an additional two decades with Etta.
Instead of dwelling on regret, I remind myself that life doesn’t always give us the time we expect, as my best friend passed away at 43.
Emma hid the fact that she was pregnant with her firstborn for many years, having experienced long-term struggles with infertility.
In 2023, she shared that she had experienced multiple miscarriages. Only her family and two confidants were privy to the pregnancies as she chose not to disclose this information to others due to the fear that if she spoke of it, she might not be able to bring her baby home.
After learning that her first husband was unfaithful, betraying her with her closest confidante, Emma chose a new path and pursued training as a psychologist instead.
She is now a TV true crime presenter and has her own YouTube channel called Emma Kenny True Crime.
