Nicola Peltz hits back at claims she’s ‘controlling’ husband Brooklyn Beckham amid ongoing family feud
In response to allegations suggesting that she is domineering or controlling towards Brooklyn Beckham, Nicola Peltz has refuted such claims, as tensions escalate in the wake of disagreements with her husband’s family.
For quite a while now, whispers of the underlying cause of the dispute have been circulating, and I’ve found myself pondering if I might be inadvertently involved given the speculations that place me right at the heart of it all – as the young billionaire heiress Nicola.
This week, Nicola responded to the rumors that arose following her sharing photos of her family gatherings, which included Brooklyn, aged 26, in celebration of his grandfather Nelson’s 83rd birthday.
Yet she hit back by ‘liking’ a fan’s comment that suggested Brooklyn had made his own decision.
‘It’s ridiculous to see people in this comment section accusing someone of controlling a grown man. The individual is an adult capable of making his own choices, so let him be and stop blaming women for everything.’

In the photos, Brooklyn appeared comfortable among his in-laws, grinning broadly as he posed alongside Nelson and Nicola’s brothers during the festivities at the Peltz family’s spacious residence in Bedford, New York.
Happy Birthday Dad! I feel incredibly fortunate to be your daughter. You are undoubtedly the most caring and encouraging father a girl could hope for,” – gushes Nicola in her caption.
I adore you beyond what words can convey – you are the gentle breeze that lifts me up.” This tender acknowledgment went on.
I had a wonderful time celebrating with you yesterday! Thank you so much for consistently standing by us. Your unwavering love and support means the world to us.
Over the past weekend, I couldn’t help but rejoice with my beloved’s father, while my heart longed for a piece of the bittersweet family moments my folks were cherishing back in the UK.
In a sunny photo, Victoria shared an affectionate moment with her cherished parents, Anthony and Jackie Adams, on social media.
In the emotional caption she wrote: ‘Family weekends make me so happy’.
It’s been said that David and Victoria have come to terms with the situation, as it seems their son has distanced himself from them following his absence at all events for David’s 50th birthday party last month.

Besides them, he didn’t extend birthday wishes to his mother Victoria or father David on social media, which is rather uncharacteristic of the Beckham family, who typically share affectionate posts about each other online.
Instead, here’s a different way of expressing it: Last week, Brooklyn posted a photo of him and Nicola along with a birthday message for his father-in-law, Nelson: “Happy birthday Nelson! We love you.” This contrasts significantly with the previous post.
Whispers of a disagreement between the oldest son and his parents started circulating after he failed to post anything in celebration of his ex-Spice Girls mother’s birthday last month, which was quite unusual for him since he typically shares heartwarming messages about her.
In contrast, neither the ex-photographer nor his spouse failed to extend warm wishes on Victoria’s 51st birthday, unlike David, Romeo, and Cruz who enthusiastically shared heartfelt messages instead.
Besides ignoring his father David’s birthday on social media, he missed out on every celebration marking his 50th birthday too, such as the guys’ fishing excursion.
Even though they were in London at that moment, neither Brooklyn nor Nicola managed to make it to the grand family gathering at the Beckhams’ residence in Cotswolds, nor to their picturesque excursion to France, or a dinner at the Core restaurant in Notting Hill.
Earlier this month, it appears that Brooklyn decided to cut off contact with his well-known relatives, marking another heartbreaking chapter in their persistent disagreement.
According to a source who spoke with Page Six, it was reported that Brooklyn himself communicated to his family that he wishes to have no communication and is ignoring those who attempt to reach out. A separate source close to Brooklyn, however, has denied these claims.
As reported by the publication, it seems that the oldest Beckham son has not been in contact with his family since last week when his father, David, was knighted. He first heard about this honor through the media, just like everyone else around the globe.

A source near Brooklyn clarified to the publication that despite rumors of no contact, everyone’s attention should rightfully be on David Beckham’s impressive accolade.
Simultaneously, someone close to Brooklyn refuted these allegations, saying to TopMob, “It appears to be yet another intentional effort to twist the facts, serving only to divert attention from the recognition given to Brooklyn’s father.
TopMob contacted David’s reps for comment at the time.
However, despite the ongoing family dispute, Brooklyn demonstrates that some bonds remain intact, as evidenced by his heartfelt birthday tribute to Sandra, David’s mother, on her 76th birthday.
Posting an old photo of him with his granny, he wrote: ‘Happy birthday dear Nan, sending all my love xx’.
In a post dedicated to his mother, David found a way to acknowledge the absence of his son Brooklyn, even though they’ve been growing apart.

Shared a series of photos, spanning from his childhood to the present, showcasing himself alongside his mother Sandra, who was once his teammate at Manchester United and the England national team.
On Instagram, he posted: ‘Wishing you a wonderful birthday, Mom! We adore you so deeply. I hope this day brings you immense joy. Thank you for your unwavering presence in our lives. Love always, Your loving son.’
He concluded the tribute by mentioning the Instagram accounts of several relatives, which included his younger sibling Joanne, as well as Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz, the retired soccer player’s three sons with his wife Victoria.
13-year-old daughter Harper, deemed too young for social media, concluded her Thursday morning tribute with a hashtag. (In this version, “he” is replaced with “it” to maintain gender neutrality and clarity.)
