BTS is back.
After fulfilling their respective national military duties, the renowned members of the South Korean boy band announced on Tuesday that they are embarking on a new music project and plan to tour during the upcoming year.
The announcement was made during a live broadcast on Weverse, where all seven members of the group – Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook – gathered together for the first time since last year. It’s reported that this event drew over 7.3 million viewers.
The group announced that they will unveil a fresh BTS album in the springtime of next year. Beginning July, all seven bandmates will collaborate intensely on producing this album, as it represents the collective thoughts and creativity of each member. The approach to this group project is reminiscent of their initial efforts.” Additionally, they hinted at an ambitious global tour to coincide with the album release.
BTS’s latest album, “Proof,” was released in June 2022. They gave a live performance in Busan, South Korea in October of the same year. Since then, each member has put out their own solo work. For instance, Jung Kook’s song “Seven” peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2023, while RM’s album “Right Place, Wrong Person” reached No. 5 on Billboard’s chart last year.
