Anna Maxwell Martin’s BBC murder-mystery thriller A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is now on Netflix.

Initially streaming on BBC iPlayer, the series unfolds around Wednesday’s Emma Meyers portraying Pip Fitz-Amobi, a high school student residing in a countryside English village, who takes it upon herself to unravel an unsolved murder mystery.

Following the disappearance of Andie Bell (India Lillie Davies), the investigation concluded when her then-boyfriend, Sal Singh (Rahul Pattni), seemingly confessed via text message.

According to Holly Jackson’s book titled the same as itself, the initial season received favorable feedback and currently holds an 83% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 40 professional critiques.

In simpler terms, “The Independent” stated that “The Famous Five” combined with “Pretty Little Liars,” narrated by Agatha Christie, sounds like an unlikely match, yet it’s a story that will captivate you nonetheless.

At Digital Spy, we expressed that the setting of this story is similar to a snowglobe diorama, frozen in time within a particular phase of a teenager’s life. It’s such an immersive world that you’d happily lose yourself in it for several hours.

In their review, the AV Club noted that while there were minor issues with Myers’ British accent, he was largely excellent as Pip and captivating to observe. Additionally, they praised Maxwell-Martin for her outstanding performance as his mother.
