As a passionate cinephile, I’m thrilled to share that come summer, Apple Music is unveiling a spectacular three-story studio right here in Culver City! This magnificent space boasts a whopping 4,000 square feet of soundstage where live performances and fan events will take place. Can’t wait to be part of the action!
In her statement, Rachel Newman, Apple Music’s co-leader, emphasized that the establishment of this new studio underscores our dedication to providing an environment where artists can develop, interact, and express their artistic ideas.
This space exceeds 15,000 square feet and encompasses not just any studios, but two studios designed specifically for live broadcasts of interviews and performances. Additionally, there’s a room dedicated to spatial audio mixing, private areas for composing songs and podcasts, and spaces that aid artists in producing content. According to their announcement, this is what Apple described about the studio.
The building where the new studio resides is situated within the Hayden Tract district of Culver City, LA. This unique structure was thoughtfully designed by renowned architect Eric Owen Moss, famous for his striking and sculptural buildings across Los Angeles. Apple hasn’t yet revealed an exact timeline for when the studio will open to the public.
The recently unveiled development demonstrates that Apple, based in Cupertino, California, is broadening its property holdings in Southern California as it delves deeper into the realm of entertainment.
A major technology company is constructing a fresh office compound, situated at the boundary between Culver City and Los Angeles, which is slated to accommodate their streaming service for television, Apple TV+.

Business
The construction teams have set up cranes and are now rising structures, painted a bronze hue, which will serve as the homes for Apple’s television streaming service and increase their footprint in Culver City.
With advancements in technology, particularly AI, significantly influencing how artists such as musicians and filmmakers narrate their stories, these tech firms are underscoring their commitment to fostering creativity.
Reflecting on last year, I found myself taken aback by an iPad Pro advertisement that depicted a hydraulic press crushing musical instruments and other creative tools, only to unveil the sleek device afterwards. The ad showcased Apple’s thinnest product innovation, but it was interpreted by some as a metaphor for technology overpowering creativity.
Apple announced that their latest studio will act as a cornerstone for a worldwide network of artistic centers, which currently include locations in New York, Tokyo, Berlin, Paris, and Nashville. The tech giant also expressed intentions to launch additional studios in the near future.
Apple additionally revealed that, as part of their 10-year anniversary celebration, Apple Music Radio will begin a countdown of its top 500 most-streamed tracks from July 1st. Furthermore, Apple Music users can now view and stream the songs they’ve played the most since joining the service in a playlist titled “Replay All Time”.
