Team BDS will rebrand with new leadership and stronger social mission
Team BDS unveiled a fresh identity, along with the appointment of a new leader, as they prepare to launch initiatives geared towards empowering disadvantaged groups.
In the upcoming months, Team BDS is planning to undergo a brand makeover, signaling a fresh start for the Swiss entity. This transition involves the appointment of a new CEO to take over from Alexandre Lopez and a refocusing of the team’s strategy on its core social objectives.
Team BDS welcomes a new CEO
Team BDS has appointed Alexandre Lopez as their new chief executive officer, making the announcement on platform X. Since 2020, Lopez has been actively engaged with the organization, first joining in a strategic role before progressing to Director and Board Member. Lopez, who holds a bachelor’s degree in Sport Business, previously worked for Valencia CF Esports and Team Vitality.
Currently in charge, he will provide “strategic insight and crucial operational knowledge” to steer the organization’s continuous change. In the official announcement, Lopez expressed his pride in being part of this new phase for Team BDS, referring to it as a significant development “in terms of sports and society.
The magical ability of gaming lies in its capacity to unite individuals, ignite aspirations, teach valuable lessons, and foster relationships. Our goal is to channel this power towards assisting those who are in the greatest need.

Rebranding and plans
Team BDS is in the process of significantly updating their image, which they plan to reveal within the next few months. According to the group, this new identity will be more in line with their current ethos and future goals. A few aspects of the rebranding have been hinted at in the official press release, but specifics about the changes have not yet been disclosed.
The core aim of our rebranding process is to reinforce Team BDS’s social commitment through gaming. To achieve this goal, we are initiating a charitable program that emphasizes video games and assists disadvantaged communities. At the moment, more specifics about this project from Team BDS have not been revealed.
The Esports World Cup Foundation has chosen Team BDS as their partner club. By clinching victories in both the Rainbow Six Siege and Rocket League competitions, the team earned third place in the Club Championship standings. In their role as a partner club, Team BDS will work with top-tier professionals and participate in unique campaigns and events.
