Brawl Stars Roadmap 2025: Everything You Can Expect in Future Updates
The multiplayer battle arena game Brawl Stars has never been more thriving than it is now. With its skyrocketing popularity, regular updates that add depth and value to gameplay, an expanding player community, and major partnerships – it’s no wonder the game keeps reaching greater successes.
As we step boldly into 2025, I find myself, along with many others in our gaming community, eagerly wondering about the future of Brawl Stars and what new heights Supercell plans to take us. How will they keep enhancing our gaming journey? That’s the question on everyone’s lips!
Luckily, Frank Keienburg, General Manager of Brawl Stars, recently shared a sneak peek into the game’s upcoming plans for the next year in a fresh video.
Without a doubt, this roadmap is extensive, and it’s bursting at the seams with captivating highlights. From major overhauls to numerous new partnerships, the year 2025 promises to be something we’ll all eagerly anticipate.
Brawl Stars Roadmap 2025 Overview
As a dedicated Brawl Stars fan, I want to share some insights about their update schedule. New updates typically unfold within a two-month timeframe, so it’s essential to keep that in mind. Also, it’s worth noting that Frank’s plans are mostly tentative ideas that may evolve over time. As we approach the actual updates, the details will become clearer.
February 2025
The initial update of the year aims to bring Ranked play and the Brawl Stars competitive gaming community more closely together. Similar to other mobile games, skill-based ranked matches can serve as a stepping stone for players to qualify for the game’s premier esports tournament. Supercell intends to accomplish this integration while also providing a platform for less competitive players to participate.
In this update, Supercell aims to enhance the competitive nature of Ranked mode, offering a more challenging experience for dedicated players. They also seek to streamline the progression from casual play to professional level, and improve overall game quality. As part of these efforts, they may introduce a system where opening a specific number of Ranked Drops rewards a high-quality Ranked skin.
April 2025
In this latest release, we’ll be introducing another exciting partnership – it’s the iconic card game, UNO! We’ve been told that this collaboration is absolutely fantastic and will introduce a fresh gameplay mode and numerous unique cosmetics.
Besides this, small gameplay improvements will be introduced.
June 2025
In this latest update, I’m excited to share that my favorite game, likely yours too, has given a significant facelift to one of its core mechanics – the gameplay itself! The developers, known as Supercell, have rolled up their sleeves and revamped the Mastery System and the Trophy Road. So buckle up, fellow gamers, because we’re in for quite the ride!
Using the Trophy Road, they added more tales from Starr Park to the game, since it had not been delved into within the game before, but was only discussed on their social media platforms. Some of you might remember the intriguing Starr Park CCTV story that circulated through the game’s social media towards the end of 2023.
As a gamer, I’ve noticed that instead of the old Mastery System, we now have Records. This fresh progression system lets me rack up Record Points and Starr Drops for achieving in-game milestones, like taking down opponents or pulling off a particular move within a specific game mode.
Excitedly, I can’t help but share the news that Supercell hinted at all Brawlers potentially receiving a Hypercharge feature with this upcoming update. Fingers crossed that everything goes according to plan!
August 2025
Now that each Brawler has their own Hypercharge (if all went well), Supercell will focus on addressing the Power Point issue that veteran Brawl Stars players often encounter. The idea of introducing Power Level 12 as a solution might have crossed some minds, but developers believe it would be unfair to newcomers. As of now, they are still mulling over their next move.
Currently, what they are working on appears to be a novel creation that offers an enjoyable experience, introduces a fresh way to showcase abilities, and will predominantly be enhanced using Power Points.
October 2025
In the final update of 2025, the Map Maker feature is set for a significant overhaul. Supercell aims to streamline the map approval process and introduce a coding system to facilitate sharing maps with fellow gamers.
Additionally, they aim to introduce modifications that enable players to design not only maps but also unique gameplay modes and activities, ultimately turning Map Maker into an environment similar to a sandbox, offering more creative freedom.
