At this Rocket League tournament, Vitality and Falcons are playing at such an impressive level that it’s not unreasonable to expect them to meet in the championship match. As for NRG, they’re the sole representatives from North America still competing. The crowd is rooting hard for a surprising comeback!

On the last day of competition, there are five electrifying games to watch: each one carries the tension and risk of elimination. Out of all the teams, just six have advanced this far at the 2025 Raleigh Major in the RCLS tournament. The ultimate game determines the Champions.

Three regions are excitingly present in the Playoff’s final stage: Europe has two teams showcasing impressive performances – Vitality, who have been unstoppable with no losses yet, and Dignitas, who’ve scored significant victories against Karmine Corp and Gen.G. Representing South America is Secret, who managed to oust The Ultimates in a thrilling Rocket League esports match that was nothing short of dramatic.

1) In terms of representation from North America, NRG is the final team remaining, but their performance at the Raleigh Major hasn’t been perfect. As for the Middle East, both Falcons and Twisted Minds are set to compete in the Championship Sunday.

The Ultimates eliminated

At the Birmingham Major, the team managed to advance all the way to the grand final. Their performance at the ongoing tournament started off quite well, but after two impressive victories, one against Karmine Corp, The Ultimates unfortunately suffered a series of defeats. They were unable to progress past the Swiss stage of the Raleigh Major, losing to teams such as Falcons, Gentle Mates, and Secret.

A breakthrough tournament for Twisted Minds

For years, this Rocket League squad hailing from the Middle East has been eclipsed by the dominant presence of the Falcons. Yet, their 2025 season showcased remarkable success, as they ranked among the top 8 at Birmingham and delivered an outstanding performance in Raleigh.

Twisted Minds not only advanced to Championship Sunday, but they also knocked out one of the tournament heavyweights, Karmine Corp, following a spectacular comeback in the Rocket League Raleigh Major Playoffs on Day 1, turning an initial 0-3 deficit into a 4-3 victory.

Vitality are back in shape

On Team Vitality’s present roster, you’ll find three players who have claimed the title of World Champion. M0nkey M00n and ExoTiiK were crowned champions in 2024 as members of Team BDS, while Zen earned his championship title as part of the winning Team Vitality during the 2022-23 season.

2021 proved to be a challenging season for me as a die-hard Vitality fan. Their performance in our region was unstable, and they failed to advance beyond the top six at the event in Birmingham.

Karmine Corp are out

In the year 2025, they were widely regarded as the top EU team and emerged victorious at the RLCS 2025 Birmingham Major. However, following a promising start in subsequent matches, Karmine Corp unexpectedly fell short against The Ultimates and Dignitas, barely making it to the playoffs.

In their inaugural performance before spectators, the game was dismal. It’s always disappointing to be so close to winning and then end up losing four straight games instead.

Team Secret are better than FURIA

Generally, FURIA has been historically the top team in South America. It’s unusual for Secret to win regional tournaments. In fact, it’s exceptionally rare to see them outplaying their home-country competitors at international Rocket League esports competitions. The Raleigh Major is one of those extraordinary instances!

During the Swiss phase, Team Secret found themselves in the elimination round, but managed to bounce back and qualify for the playoffs. Kicking off the tournament, Team Secret triumphed over Gentle Mates Alpine.

Following the conclusion of this tournament, the community’s attention shifts towards upcoming events. The Rocket League Esports World Cup 2025 will be held on August 14th and 15th. The World Championship 2025 Finals event is scheduled from September 9th to September 14th.
