Christie Brinkley recently disclosed an intriguing tidbit from the early stages of her relationship with renowned musician Billy Joel, and this revelation includes none other than Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr’s predecessor, Elle Macpherson.

In an interview with Stellar Magazine this week, Christie reminisced about the time she encountered the Piano Man, as she found herself already involved with the tall Australian that Joel was casually seeing.

In his apartment, he shared with me that he intended to reach out to Elle, someone he had spent time with on a few occasions, to inform her that our relationship was becoming exclusive from now on. I recall this conversation vividly.

The remarkable disclosure sheds light on a secretive love entanglement in the realm of rock-and-roll, involving two globally renowned models and an acclaimed American singer.

In her autobiography, Brinkley candidly shares her life story, which encompasses not only spectacular triumphs but also hidden suffering – ranging from overcoming a devastating helicopter accident to bravely facing domestic violence and the emotional turmoil stemming from her high-profile unions.

However, their lasting connection – a heartfelt relationship with Joel – continues to stand out as a memorable aspect.

In 1985, they got married and had their daughter, Alexa Ray Joel, around the same time. Their marriage ended in 1994, but they have managed to maintain a strong friendship since then.

Brinkley also revealed that the family is supporting Joel as he battles a rare brain disorder. 

Alexa recently had an extended chat with him, and she commented that he seemed to be doing well. We’re all rooting for him, she added.

Additionally, Brinkley discussed the transformation of the modeling world since her peak years, reminiscing about the enchantment of traditional film photography and expressing sorrow over the heavily edited, digitally dominated landscape of contemporary photo shoots.

She clarified, “With so many chefs in the kitchen now, we’re not able to create that special enchantment like before.

Regarding aging, this model rejects old-fashioned prejudices. She appreciates contemporary beauty trends but feels that genuine vigor originates from within.

‘Energy and curiosity are more useful than any cream you can buy in a jar,’ she said.

Looking back on their shared moments, the former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model (who has been married four times), expressed that their union was truly exceptional, as reported by Page Six.

She referred to the Piano Man as her “deep emotional match,” yet admitted that their marital issues began arising when he would vanish for extended periods during his drinking sprees.

If it weren’t for the problem associated with his addiction, she expressed her belief that we might have truly been soulmates. It was a remarkable period in my life.

She went on saying: “I enjoyed myself immensely. Between his work and mine, we were more like wandering explorers or bohemian travelers, experiencing different parts of the globe. Truly, it was a marvelous time.

At Alexa Ray’s fifth birthday party, Brinkley asserted that after leaving the event, he went missing for a span of two consecutive days.

In her own words, she shared that she had a vivid image of him involved in an accident, with his car entangled around a tree. What followed was an unshakable fear that gripped me tightly.

Additionally, she remembered instances where he had mysteriously disappeared – once during Thanksgiving dinner and again following which she found pictures of him socializing with an Australian actress.
