We Might Regret This season 1 spoilers follow.

BBC comedy series We Might Regret This has been given an exciting update.

The television series, debuted last year and based in London, centers around the dynamic between Freya, a Canadian tetraplegic artist (portrayed by Kyla Harris), and Abe, a fifty-something lawyer (Darren Boyd). Additionally, it employs Jo (Elena Saurel), Freya’s best friend, as her assistant.

Production on season 2 has officially begun, with the storyline picking up following the events after Freya and Abe’s engagement.

As the pair embark on their wedding planning journey, they soon discover that their perspectives on matrimony and ideas for the wedding ceremony may not always coincide, subtly hinting at potential disagreements regarding their upcoming union.

Matters become more intricate due to Freya’s representatives, known as The Olivias, who involve the couple in a wedding-themed content production project centered around promoting disability inclusivity.

In addition, Abe must grapple with his intricate past with Jo, along with his personal trust concerns, when he stumbles upon Jo and Freya unanticipatedly in the same place.

As Freya and Jo’s bond deepens, it’s evident that Abe must confront his past and learn to tolerate, if not wholly appreciate, the individual who significantly impacts Freya’s happiness and health.

Alongside Harris’s co-creation returns, as well as those of Boyd, Saurel, Emma Sidi, Hanako Footman, season 2 will also welcome back Edward Bluemel, Sally Phillips, Aasiya Shah, and Lolly Adefope to the team.

The show has revealed that Sophie Thompson, famously known for her role in Silo, will be playing Beanie McElroy. In the storyline, Beanie works within the alternative bridal fashion industry and gets tasked with teaming up with Kyla to design a wedding gown together.

Harris and Lee Getty are thrilled to return to the set for season two of ‘We Might Regret This’! They promise even more laughter, raw honesty, and a possible glimpse of nipples.

The initial season of We Might Regret This received a great deal of praise, with a 88% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes, according to eight critic’s reviews.

According to The Observer, it’s genuinely hilarious yet more profound and unexpected than expected. On the other hand, The Guardian found that the script boasts a fantastic rhythm with both clever one-liners and poignant moments receiving equal attention.

We Might Regret This season 1 is available to stream now on BBC iPlayer.
