This member of The Simpsons family was just ‘killed off’ and fans are in shock

For the very first time, the long-running TV series “The Simpsons” has announced the demise of a significant character from the Simpson family, leaving viewers stunned and in disbelief as Marge was reported to have passed away.

In the final episode of Season 36, titled “Stranger Things”, focusing on the bond between Bart and Lisa, there was a glimpse into the future showing that Marge had tragically passed away before reaching her mid-70s.

In a future scene, grown-up Bart and Lisa catch up and reminisce about their “deceased mom.” During their conversation, Lisa discovers a letter penned by Marge, intended to be read after she has “died.

In the heartfelt missive, it urges Bart and Lisa to stay connected, prompting them to collaborate in a mission to free Homer from his retirement residence in Florida.

Without realizing that she’s being watched from above by her, Marge appears to be gazing down at her loved ones from a cloud. Then, her idol Ringo Starr guides her towards heaven.

The summary of the episode suggests that when Bart and Lisa quit watching their favorite show Itchy & Scratchy, Marge worries they might grow apart. However, she’s unaware of the troubles that are on the horizon for them!

After the latest episode dropped, I found myself swept up in the swift circulation of the rumor that Marge had passed away. As a dedicated fan, I couldn’t help but share my astonishment on social media before tuning in to see how it would all unfold.

One surprised fan, who hadn’t caught the latest episode yet, posted on Threads: “Hold up… did The Simpsons really off Marge?

I’ve just learned about the character who passed away at the end of season 36 of The Simpsons, and I can’t stop laughing. I can’t even bring myself to say their name because it has left me devastated.

Fortunately, there were other spectators present to inform heartbroken Simpsons fans that the character’s death occurs far into Marge’s future. One viewer responded, “Indeed, I wasn’t informed about this and wept for a full 30 minutes, laughing at my own reaction.
