For the very first time, the long-running TV series “The Simpsons” has announced the demise of a significant character from the Simpson family, leaving viewers stunned and in disbelief as Marge was reported to have passed away.
In the final episode of Season 36, titled “Stranger Things”, focusing on the bond between Bart and Lisa, there was a glimpse into the future showing that Marge had tragically passed away before reaching her mid-70s.
In a future scene, grown-up Bart and Lisa catch up and reminisce about their “deceased mom.” During their conversation, Lisa discovers a letter penned by Marge, intended to be read after she has “died.
In the heartfelt missive, it urges Bart and Lisa to stay connected, prompting them to collaborate in a mission to free Homer from his retirement residence in Florida.
Without realizing that she’s being watched from above by her, Marge appears to be gazing down at her loved ones from a cloud. Then, her idol Ringo Starr guides her towards heaven.
The summary of the episode suggests that when Bart and Lisa quit watching their favorite show Itchy & Scratchy, Marge worries they might grow apart. However, she’s unaware of the troubles that are on the horizon for them!
