Jonathan Bailey drops major Bond hint with latest collaboration as he unwinds on the Mediterranean – after emerging as hot favourite for vacant 007 role
In the elegant setting of the Mediterranean, sipping on a Martini and with a scene reminiscent of a movie set, it’s easy to imagine that Jonathan Bailey had already received a major role offer in Hollywood.
Unfortunately, for devotees of James Bond, the legendary role has not been filled yet, approximately four years since Daniel Craig relinquished the tuxedo, put away the Walther PP, and passed on the Aston Martin he cherished.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m thrilled about the recent news that Amazon has acquired the rights to continue Britain’s iconic film franchise, which is now gearing up for its 26th installment. The anticipation surrounding who will step into the shoes of Bond number seven and carry on this legacy is reaching fever pitch!
So far, actors such as Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Henry Cavill, Regé-Jean Page, Richard Madden, and Idris Elba have been mentioned as possible choices for the role; however, a different candidate has recently caught attention on the Italian coastline.
Partnering with MARTINI, Bond’s preferred drink, for a fresh promotional initiative, Bailey embodied the iconic character’s elegant charm as he struck poses for a related series of photographs.

As a die-hard admirer, I’m thrilled to join Bailey and the legendary Martini aperitivo family in urging everyone to shake things up and venture off the beaten track with their latest campaign for MARTINI Spritz! Let’s embrace the change together!
Collectively encouraging individuals to deviate from routine summer schedules and embrace impromptu experiences instead, they are also celebrating the delightful unexpected pleasures of life by toasting with a spritz.
Each summer, Bailey chooses to revisit the picturesque region of southern Italy that he adores; it’s where he unwinds annually. Abandoning his meticulously planned acting roles and cult screen personas, this season found him immersed in impromptu activities, embodying the casual Italian aesthetic – all while savoring numerous MARTINI cocktails.
He mentioned that deviating from the planned course opens up room for amusement and novel encounters, as stated in a related press statement. It’s those unexpected instances that often leave the deepest impressions.
This summer, let’s all pause for a moment, jump right in, veer from the usual path, and embrace our childlike spirit. Let’s experience life in a fresh way… with a MARTINI Spritz cocktail in tow, undoubtedly!
Fans are eagerly anticipating news about the release date of the upcoming James Bond movie, following the uncertainty that came with Daniel Craig’s departure from the role in the 2021 film “No Time To Die”.
Amazon has seized creative leadership over the popular series and is reportedly expediting the production of the upcoming movie. Renowned Hollywood producers David Heyman and Amy Pascal have been brought on board to initiate a fresh phase.
According to bookmaker William Hill, Aaron Taylor-Johnson is predicted as the frontrunner with odds of approximately 11/8, whereas Theo James follows closely behind with odds of 7/2.

Jack Lowden, who stars in Slow Horses, is close behind James Norton, who is also known for his role in Happy Valley.)
Just recently, betting firms unveiled their predictions for who the next James Bond villain might be, with an unanticipated familiar face leading the polls.
Among all the contenders, I found myself particularly drawn to Cillian Murphy, the captivating star of Peaky Blinders, who currently holds the leading position in the odds by OLBG, standing at a promising 9/2.
Previously suggested for the role of James Bond, the well-known Irish actor, recognized primarily for his portrayal of Thomas Shelby in the popular BBC series, has previously dismissed such rumors, stating to Deadline, “I believe I might be a little too old for that part.
Additionally, under consideration for the role of the Bond villain are American actor Paul Giamatti, David Dastmalchian from “The Boogeyman,” and unexpected candidate Zendaya, with odds of 7/1 in her favor.

In my acting career thus far, I’ve primarily taken on roles where I play the heroine. Yet, in a candid conversation with Elle Magazine back in 2023, I expressed my eagerness to venture into a more challenging and intriguing territory – portraying a villainous character.
‘I would love to play a villain of sorts,’ the 28-year-old said.
Channel malevolent, villainous feelings. This isn’t limited to physical acts like a supervillain, but rather, it refers more to emotional states.
‘I feel like I usually play the good guy, so I’d like to play the bad guy.’
It’s being reported that the decision on where to establish the upcoming Amazon movie, eagerly awaited by many, is under deliberation. Experts speculate it may premiere towards the end of the following year or as late as 2027.
Next year, a filming ban in Central London may force productions to seek out alternative sites. As per reports from The Sun, Liverpool appears to be the leading contender as a possible replacement location for filming.

A source revealed to the media outlet, “This development is likely to annoy fans of the Bond series who are concerned that Amazon’s potential control over the 007 franchise might result in significant alterations.
‘But Liverpool is a well-known alternative to London for film-makers.
From the Batman to Captain America and the Harry Potter series, it’s made an appearance across various films, often standing in for different global urban landscapes.
The source pointed out that while the story may not specifically take place in Liverpool, keen observers from Liverpool might recognize their city center in the backdrop.
