Meghan McCain spins interview with Usha Vance into pregnancy reveal: She knows it was ‘weird’ too
Meghan McCain realized revealing her new pregnancy in a private conversation with a White House representative might seem unusual, but she chose to proceed regardless.
40-year-old television host, once known for “The View” and the daughter of the late Republican Senator John McCain, shared personal news during a chat with Second Lady Usha Vance. In a sneak peek clip released Tuesday, she announced that she is expecting a baby boy as her third child. McCain said, “I’d like to share something personal with you that I haven’t discussed openly yet,” addressing Vance in the video promoting their conversation, which will be fully published on Wednesday.
McCain commends Vance and her husband, Vice President JD Vance, for their approach to involving children in their lives in various ways. She then shares some personal news: “I’ve recently entered my second trimester – I’m pregnant with my third child.” The Second Lady promptly expresses her congratulations to the outspoken panelist.

Senator Alex Padilla emphasized that Vice President Kamala Harris is well aware of his identity, labeling the mistake as a symptom of an “immature and unprofessional” White House. This disagreement unfolded at a time when federal immigration sweeps have been stirring up tension in Los Angeles and nearby areas.
McCain goes on to say, “This might be an unusual way to put it, but… I must confess, I’m quite anxious – it’s a boy! I’m anxious about having a boy. And I must admit, I’m feeling a bit apprehensive about expanding our family to three children.
As a dedicated film enthusiast, I found myself intrigued by the media figure’s curiosity and decided to rephrase her question in my own words: “Being a mother of three, as she expressed her worries about the challenges, she posed an intriguing question to Vance – a question that many American women might also be pondering. She asked if he could enlighten us on why having three kids can be beneficial, how he manages such a large family, and if he had any advice specifically for mothers of boys.
boys Ewan and Vivek, and a daughter named Mirabel. McCain also has two young daughters, Liberty and Clover, in addition to an incoming son, with her husband, TV commentator Ben Domenech.
To summarize, Vance shared with McCain that her experience in rearing three children involved them creating a ‘group’ of their own, with the oldest one often assuming leadership roles. Moreover, Vance expressed to McCain her belief that the rate at which boys and girls develop is significantly distinct.

To Vance, ‘José’ seems more than just a name; it may represent his unconscious bias towards Latinos, a bias deeply rooted in our nation’s past.
Before McCain revealed her pregnancy news, she shared on Instagram about having the unique honor to conduct the First Lady’s initial extensive interview on camera. McCain described the encounter as “getting into it all” in her caption and referred to Usha Vance as a “distinguished American figure.
