Eric Dane’s girlfriend ‘devastated’ after he ‘blindsided’ her with love triangle amid ALS battle

It didn’t sit well with Eric Dane’s partner, Priya Jain, to discover that she was part of a romantic entanglement when the actor stepped out on the red carpet with another woman, all while contending with his ongoing ALS struggle.

At age 27, this actress is reportedly heartbroken following the unexpected public appearance of a 52-year-old cast member from Euphoria with his new partner, Janell Shirtcliff, which left her feeling blindsided.

According to a source, UsWeekly reported on Tuesday that Dane is continuing to date Jain and had conversations with him mere days prior to his appearance at the red carpet event alongside 41-year-old Shirtcliff.

Representatives for Dane, Jain, and Shirtcliff have not responded to our request for comment from DailyMail.com so far.

According to the source, Priya is deeply saddened (devastated) and taken aback (blindsided), and it appears that her relationship with Dane has ended completely (she’s totally done). However, she still hopes for his well-being (wishes him all the best).

The source clarified: ‘Reuniting is out of the question. While heartaches eventually pass, the embarrassment from public scrutiny tends to linger.’

She’s aiming to advance in her professional journey as well as in her overall life. She simply wishes to leave that phase of her life in the past.

The drama began last week when  the actor made his carpet debut with a new romance in Los Angeles. 

Dan, who received a devastating ALS diagnosis in April, made an appearance at the premiere of his latest project, Countdown, on Wednesday. However, what stood out most was that he was accompanied by filmmaker Shirtcliff.

He showed a warm grin while posing briefly for a photo op, and during the event, he snuggled close to Janell.

On the contrary, it appears that Priya Jain, who is said to be Dane’s partner, was taken aback. A source revealed to Page Six on Thursday that they had not parted ways.

Last November, there were rumors about Eric being connected with the actress, after he separated from his former wife Rebecca Gayheart. However, their divorce has been put on hold due to his ongoing fight against ALS.

Last year towards the end, it was revealed that Dane and Priya had entered an exclusive relationship. However, when Dane received a serious health diagnosis, Priya was deeply saddened, yet chose to stand by his side throughout the ordeal.

As reported by the source, Eric’s home is where Eric and Jain have stayed for several nights, and it’s also a place where Jain stores some of her personal items.

Previously, they had spent some quality time together, only a few days prior to his appearance on the red carpet alongside Shirtcliff.

Priya was last publicly seen with the actor in late April as they stepped out in L.A. together. 

This past Tuesday, it was noticed that the former star of Grey’s Anatomy was seen enjoying a romantic evening out with Janell at the renowned Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood.

The next day, Shirtcliff joined him at the premiere of his recent Amazon Prime Video crime drama series, Countdown.

The couple was noticed locking loving gazes while they stood together for photos, Eric dressed in a bright white outfit and Janell in a stylish burgundy cocktail dress.

According to a recent report by Entertainment Tonight, they’ve had periods of being together and apart for more than three years now, and their feelings for one another run very deep.

According to the source, Eric requested Janell’s presence during this challenging period, and she was eager to offer her support. It’s also mentioned that they have a very strong bond and value each other deeply.

On the preceding Tuesday, they mentioned that they had spent a delightful day filled with laughter, levity, and affection together.

On more than one occasion, this actor has found himself in an unusual predicament. As far back as 2009, a controversial video of him bathing alongside his former spouse, Rebecca Gayheart, and their friend Kari Ann Peniche was made public.

Appearing to be under the influence, the three individuals seemed that way – and it was five years later during an interview with People that Dane finally spoke out about the controversial video.

‘It was a mistake. We’ve all made mistakes,’ he informed the outlet at the time.

‘One thing I’m sorry about is involving the one I cherish the most, Rebecca, in everything that transpired. However, we managed to overcome it and move past it. Now, we share not just a bond but two adorable children, and our relationship is more robust than before.’

On Wednesday as he strolled down the red carpet for his latest police drama, Eric commented to Variety, “I’m feeling great.

The Grey’s Anatomy veteran was pleased to be present with everyone, enjoying the fruit of our labor as it unfolds on the screen,” he commented.

He made the statement, “I’ll keep going until it all comes apart,” when asked about his plans for his career considering his health issues, during an interview with E! News on Tuesday. This remark came after his sighting.

‘It keeps me sharp. It keeps me moving forward, which is super important right now.’

Eric maintained that he still experiences a fantastic sense of well-being while on the job, even though it’s been a year since he was diagnosed with ALS and lost functionality in his dominant right arm.

Indeed, there have been some challenges along the way, but I must say I’m feeling quite optimistic. Regardless of any obstacles, my spirits usually remain high, and in the end, that’s what truly counts.

In April, the actor shared with People that he had been diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). He expressed his gratitude for having his caring family supporting him throughout this new phase of life.

He then gave a positive update and explained that he still had plans to continue work on set.

Currently, the high-octane action star from “The Bad Boys” series is undergoing treatment with medication aimed at alleviating his symptoms, and he’s additionally involved in a scientific research project.

Eric said on Good Morning America, “If doctors suggested it, I’d travel to Germany and consume a rattlesnake head, no question about it. I’m willing to take the chance.

Dan is concerned that within the next few months, he might lose functionality in his left hand, and he’s additionally anxious about potential issues with his legs.

However, he emphasized, “I remain quite optimistic, indeed I am. I believe this chapter may not be the final one in my life. I’ve always been rather resilient. It doesn’t feel, deep within me, that this will mark the end of my existence.
