Gather your fans of the beloved series “Pretty Little Liars” from the ’10s: there are rumors swirling that the cast might reunite for a final appearance, under one specific term.

Debuted in 2010, this series centers on the mysterious vanishing of Alison DiLaurentis (played by Sasha Pieterse), and follows the story of her close-knit circle of friends as they reunite to uncover the truth behind her disappearance.

Introduce Aria Montgomery (Lucy Hale), Hanna Marin (Ashley Benson), Emily Fields (Shay Mitchell), and Spencer Hastings (Troian Bellisario) – these are the four friends of Alison who have grown apart, but now they’re back in each other’s lives due to receiving mysterious messages from an anonymous source known as ‘A’.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter for the 15th anniversary of the show’s debut, its creator, Marlene King, expressed a willingness to revisit Rosewood in a future film project.

King mentioned, “We’ve often discussed this. It sounds intriguing to possibly produce a movie or a series of ten episodes set once more in Rosewood.

I need to generate a solid plan for reassembling everyone, along with deciding our destination. I believe the team would be delighted with it.

She added: “It seems appropriate now to begin discussing that topic. We’ve had sufficient time to create additional, unique experiences for the characters, which would make things familiar yet distinct.

Bellisario suggested that a reunion should be made into a movie instead of another season, stating, “I believe it couldn’t hold up for another season.

Absolutely, it would be fantastic to catch up on these characters we hold dear. We’ve shared their lives for seven years, and then they were absent for another seven. It seems like the ideal moment to find out where their journey has taken them now.

He mentioned that the program could have been quite tough or cool, if it wasn’t broadcasted on a family channel, he added.

Given the film rating should be at least PG-13, we’d have some room to increase the intensity, adding elements like violence, horror, or romantic scenes.

Instead of Benson joking that he’d come back if Hanna takes on the role of ‘A’ again, Mitchell strongly suggested that the whole gang should reunite for a sequel.

…”Perhaps there’s an opportunity for us all to reunite and have a great time, similar to what happened in ‘Sex and the City’,” she suggested.

I believe it would be adorable if we were all on board with this idea. I’m open and eager for such an event, and I’ve made that clear to them. It seems like a group activity is necessary. I simply can’t participate without my friends by my side.

The show initially ran for seven seasons from 2010 to 2017, giving birth to a larger franchise. Two brief spin-offs, named “Ravenswood” and “Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists,” were also produced.

In 2022, a separate series named “Pretty Little Liars” was introduced, boasting new characters, but it only ran for two seasons before being discontinued.

Seasons 1 through 7 of Pretty Little Liars can be watched on BBC iPlayer for viewers in the United Kingdom. In the United States, fans can stream the series on Hulu or Max.
