As a passionate gamer, I’m just as excited to share the news about a new movie that’s not related to my usual gaming world! It’s called “My Mother’s Wedding” and it’s got a talented actor named Kristin Scott Thomas from “Slow Horses” in the lead role. The first trailer for this poignant and heartwarming drama has finally dropped, so mark your calendars for when it hits the screens!
In his first venture as a director, the forthcoming movie focuses on three sisters reuniting at their old family residence for the third matrimonial occasion of their mom, Diana (portrayed by Scott Thomas).
In the cast alongside her are Scarlett Johansson, Sienna Miller, and Emily Beecham, portraying three sisters from diverse backgrounds.
When hospice nurse Georgina (Beecham), actress Victoria (Miller), and naval captain Katherine (Johansson) take a break at home over the weekend, they find themselves compelled to reflect on their past and prepare for what lies ahead, with assistance from an assortment of unanticipated wedding attendees who bring a splash of color.
Drawing from their personal family background, the script for My Mother’s Wedding was penned collaboratively by Scott Thomas and her spouse, John Micklethwait.
In addition to the cast, you’ll find Freida Pinto from “Slumdog Millionaire,” Sindhu Vee of “Sex Education,” Joshua McGuire known for “Saltburn,” Mark Stanley hailing from “Game of Thrones,” Thibault de Montalembert who starred in “The King,” and Samson Kayo, the lead actor in “Bloods.

The U.S. premiere of my mother’s wedding movie is set for August 8th, 2025. As for the UK release, it hasn’t been scheduled yet.
