Netflix Games slashes game library with 22 Titles leaving in July 2025, including Monument 3 Trilogy

Story Highlights

  • Some titles, like Monument Valley 3, are set to launch on other platforms after their removal from Netflix.
  • They recently canceled Don’t Starve Together, Tales of the Shire: A Lord of the Rings Game, and even pulled Crashlands 2.

Netflix’s mobile gaming library is once again undergoing a significant reduction, which seems to be a recurring pattern. Following the recent cancellation of six upcoming games, the platform plans to eliminate over 20 existing ones in July 2025. Titles like Hades, Monument Valley series, and others are among those slated for removal.

Netflix Games shows signs of trouble as internal shifts lead to mass removals

It appears there’s a troubling situation unfolding within Netflix’s gaming department, based on their actions over the past year. Despite our initial assumption that their strategic change, which resulted in canceling Don’t Starve Together, would be a one-time occurrence, it seems that things have taken a different turn. This is indicated by internal restructuring and a series of game removals.

Unfortunately, it appears that several titles will no longer be available as of July 15th. Some of the notable titles being removed include Monument Valley 3, which was set to release in December 2024, Carmen Sandiego scheduled for January 2025, and others. To find out if your favorite games are among those leaving, look for the “Leaving Soon” badge on the game pages.

List of all the titles that are planned for removal

22 games are being taken off Netflix’s gaming platform, making up close to 20% of their current collection of mobile games. Notable titles like Hades, the Monument Valley series, and Raji: An Ancient Epic are among those being removed.

Here’s a full list of all the titles planned by Netflix for removal:

  • Carmen Sandiego
  • Hades
  • LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed
  • Monument Valley
  • Monument Valley 2
  • Monument Valley 3
  • Raji: An Ancient Epic
  • Ludo King
  • Rainbow Six: SMOL
  • SpongeBob: Bubble Pop F.U.N.
  • TED Tumblewords
  • The Case of the Golden Idol
  • The Rise of the Golden Idol
  • Vineyard Valley
  • Katana ZERO
  • CoComelon: Play with JJ
  • Death’s Door
  • Diner Out: Merge Cafe
  • Dumb Ways to Die
  • Ghost Detective
  • Battleship
  • Braid, Anniversary Edition

In summary, the majority of the shows departing are either licensed or owned by other parties, indicating that Netflix no longer has direct control over them. Although they’re still adding mobile game titles, there are whispers that this pace might decrease. Instead, it appears they’re planning to concentrate more on larger intellectual properties, ensuring a more selective release process for these games.

As a gamer, it’s disheartening to see some games being phased out, but there’s always a silver lining! Upcoming releases like WWE 2K, Spirit Crossing, and Netflix Puzzled (still in testing) are on the horizon. And guess what? We might even get these on other platforms soon. In fact, Monument Valley 3 is confirmed for release elsewhere, so let’s keep our fingers crossed!
