Penny Lancaster has revealed the kind words King Charles said to help her confidence and make her feel ‘more than just Rod’s wife’
She is a former panellist on ITV’s Loose Women, a model and works for the Police force.
For Penny Lancaster, however, it was King Charles who aided her in recognizing that she was much more than merely “Rod Stewart’s spouse.
This month, a 54-year-old individual was part of an award ceremony hosted by the King’s Foundation. During the event, they were joined by other representatives to present an award inside Buckingham Palace.
Contemplating the esteem, Penny shared: ‘As I stood there, the King surveyed everyone around me, including Alan Titchmarsh, David Beckham, Kate Winslet, and Meryl Streep. He then singled me out, saying, “This is my most valued special constable.”‘
Well then, let me clarify, I am not merely Rod Stewart’s spouse. That title has long been retired. Once upon a time, you may know me from Loose Women, but currently, I serve as a Special Constable.
During an appearance on the We’re Not Getting Any Younger podcast yesterday, she stated: ‘For a considerable period, I followed in my husband’s footsteps, but now I’ve grown much more self-assured, healed, and he is content with me taking charge.’
In 2021, Penny finished her training to become a Volunteer Special Constable with the City of London Police Department. She has since been active, assisting in various events like the Queen’s funeral and the coronation of King Charles III.
For 18 years, this woman with one child has been wedded to the man who sings “Maggie May.” In 2007, they tied the knot, and they recently celebrated their wedding anniversary a week ago.
The pair marked the occasion by vacationing in Portofino, Italy, where they had made their promises to each other nearly twenty years earlier, following a relationship spanning seven years.
Sir Rod, aged 80, has a total of eight children from five distinct mothers. Two of these children are his sons, Alistair (19) and Aidan (14), whom he shares with his third spouse, Penny.
Through his lifetime, the artist known for “You Wear It Well” has had several relationships. Yet, among all, he considered Ms. Lancaster to be ‘the most stunning woman he’s ever encountered’.
On Sunday, the lead singer of Faces will take the stage at Glastonbury Festival for a legendary performance in the coveted slot at Worthy Farm.
