How To Unlock Music Dream in Heartopia
You can’t start making music right away; you’ll need to reach a certain level first. Specifically, you need to get to Developer’s Guild Level 17 to unlock the Music Dream, which is when music production becomes available. Although Dreams are accessible earlier, the features for making music won’t unlock until you reach level 17.
Just having the dream of making music isn’t enough – you’ll also need the right tools. Your next goal is to visit Ka Ching’s General Store and buy a phonograph. But before you go, Annie will call to start the Melody’s Echo quest. If you follow the questline, it will eventually lead you to Ka Ching’s store where you can get the phonograph.
This device is crucial for making music. Once you’ve purchased the phonograph, set it up in your home, which will then function as your personal recording studio. Interacting with the phonograph will launch the music recording system, fully activating the Music Dream and allowing you to pursue your goal of becoming a music superstar in Heartopia.
How To Make Music in Heartopia
Creating music in Heartopia is a surprisingly interactive experience. Instead of simply selecting a preset, you actually play your music live, which means practice and preparation are key. Let’s get you started with this Heartopia Music Guide.
Starting a Recording Session
First, turn on your record player. This will bring up the recording options, allowing you to start a new session. When the countdown timer starts, the recording window will appear, and you can begin playing and recording your music.
Before you start recording, it’s a good idea to plan what you want to play and practice a bit. Even if you make mistakes or stop, the recording will save everything you’ve played. Just remember that practice helps, and Heartopia is meant to be enjoyable, so don’t stress about getting it perfect right away!
Burning and Publishing Music CDs
Once you’ve recorded a song, you can create a CD, but this requires a Music CD Publishing Permit. Think of this permit as the fee for officially releasing your music. After the CD is created, you have a physical copy, and others can enjoy it.
- Purchase your CD.
- Play it in their homes.
- Leave likes to support your work.
Every time you share your music, it helps you move closer to achieving your goals in the Music Dream Progress system, so releasing your tracks is key to unlocking everything. Similar to publishing a book, once a CD is out, you can’t make changes to it. That’s why it’s always a good idea to spend time perfecting a track before you finalize it.
List of Music Dream Goals in Heartopia

Final Thoughts
As a Heartopia player, I’m really excited about the music production feature! It’s not just something to mess around with briefly – it’s a fantastic way to show off your creativity, even if you haven’t made music in ages. The best part is being able to share what you create with other players who love music too. Seriously, record as much as you can and just have fun with it – that’s what matters most!
