On Monday evening, I was there at the red carpet for the European debut of F1: The Movie, even though my role in the movie, initially fronted by Brad Pitt, got trimmed.
The 30-year-old British actress, famed for her appearances in Bridgerton and Sex Education, was omitted from the ultimate cut of the film.
Even though she experienced a setback in her career, Simone exuded elegance and grace while strolling the red carpet at Leicester Square in London.
With a dazzling golden outfit catching everyone’s attention, the star donned a well-defined dress featuring an elevated collar and a flared skirt that made a bold statement at the waist.
Simone completed her look with a pair of gold-coloured stilettos and large hoop earrings.
In an interview, the director of F1, Joseph Kosinski, justified the removal of Simone’s dialogue from the film. He clarified that despite her absence of lines, the actress will still be visible on-screen.
In my commitment to sharing, I’d like to disclose that it’s a common practice in filmmaking to capture more footage than what eventually ends up on screen. Among the multiple narrative threads we filmed, there were a couple that unfortunately didn’t find their way into the final edit.
However, Simone is a remarkably gifted artist, excelling both as an actress and a vocalist. It would be a delight to collaborate with her once more in the future.
The upcoming movie, F1, which is scheduled for release on June 27th, has been under development for quite some time now and features Brad Pitt, aged 60, as its main actor.

The moniker “Top Gun” has been given to F1 by some, drawing a parallel with the blockbuster aviation film that earned an astonishing $1.496 billion globally, three years after its release featuring Tom Cruise.
61-year-old Tom attended the European debut in London, walking the red carpet alongside Brad. As the charismatic leading men embraced, their smiles indicated they were pleased to reunite.
In the movie Mission Impossible, actor Tom sported a stylish, contemporary charcoal gray two-piece suit that was fitted to perfection. This suit included a slim-cut, one-button jacket.
Displaying his close-cropped hairstyle, Brad strolled down the red carpet accompanied by his partner Ines de Ramon.
As a fervent admirer, I couldn’t help but don my shades and casually unfasten the initial buttons of my pristine white shirt, revealing a stylish silk scarf adorning my neck.
Ines was taken aback while adorning a breathtaking, long dress with a halter neckline, embellished with silver sequins and intricate details, giving it a radiant, glistening appearance.
Regarding F1: The Movie, Bernard Smalls from iOne Digital remarked: “Fasten your seatbelts! #F1TheMovie delivers a heart-pounding adventure. It’s the kind of film that you go to the cinema for. Both Brad Pitt and Damson Idris deliver powerful performances. This is like Top Gun, but for F1 racing enthusiasts. It’s undeniably a racing movie tailored for a modern audience.
According to Erik David at Rotten Tomatoes, Joseph Kosinski’s film ‘#F1TheMovie’ accelerates swiftly without slowing down. The race scenes are thrilling, the audio, editing, camera work, acting, and soundtrack are all exceptional quality.
