Tom Hardy’s impressive crime drama with “26 million viewers” finally gets update fans have wanted
At last, the long-awaited news is out! Fans can rejoice as MobLand officially announces its comeback with a brand new season.
The gripping crime series revolves around the Harrigan crime clan from London, embroiled in a conflict with another powerful group. Without revealing any spoilers, let me just add that the finale of the initial season left viewers craving for additional episodes.
The television series “MobLand” was developed and penned by Ronan Bennett, known for “Top Boy”, and written by Jez Butterworth. It’s also been executive produced by David C Glasser from 101 Studios. Notably, Guy Ritchie is joining the team as an executive producer for this series, which will be his first television project with Paramount. And remember, fans of Guy Ritchie, his film “The Gentlemen” is set to return on Netflix shortly.

Affirming that MobLand is making a comeback, Chris McCarthy, Co-CEO of Paramount and President of SHOWTIME/MTV Entertainment, stated: “The creative genius of Guy, Jez, Ronan and David C Glasser has led to an overwhelming success with more than 26 million viewers and growing. This triumph is due in no small part to the exceptional performances by Tom, Pierce, and Helen.
We’re thrilled to announce that a second season is going ahead for this worldwide hit, which has been ruling the music scene, topping not only local but also international charts, and reaching the number one spot in the UK.
The distinguished ensemble of MobLand features actors like Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, Joanne Froggatt, Paddy Considine, and Jasmine Jobson.
It’s not at all unexpected that additional episodes will be coming, given that the debut season shattered records and turned out to be the streaming service’s most successful global series premiere yet, since it aired in March.
As reported by Paramount, the original series MobLand has amassed a total of 26 million viewers so far and ranks as the second most-popular original show on their service. Furthermore, it has consistently been among the Top 10 most-watched programs on the streaming platform’s UK chart since its premiere.
MobLand is available on Paramount+ and will return for season 2.
