  • The textile installation honors Verner Panton’s Panthella lamp
  • It offered a contemplative, surreal space blending light, art and design.

At the 2025 edition of Copenhagen’s “3 Days of Design” festival, Louis Poulsen presented “Circle Dome Square” – a dynamic, thoughtful light installation created by Danish designer and artist Henrik Vibskov. Positioned outside their showroom, this engaging setup is inspired by Verner Panton’s legendary Panthella lamp, initially launched in 1971. The lamp is renowned for its enduring shape and radiant aura.

Vibskov, known for his innovative fashion designs and multidisciplinary art, revisits Panton’s legacy by constructing a textile-based pavilion, titled “Circle Dome Square”. This installation serves as an invitation for visitors to ponder, interact with light in a novel way, and find a moment of peace. Vibskov describes this playful and visionary structure as having a touch of surrealism. He explains that the design concept involves merging shapes and colors into a large structure, using textiles as the primary material to create an aesthetic resembling vintage cameras, with a focus on a single module. This creation offers a space where visitors can unwind, take a break, and immerse themselves in the surroundings, away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world.

Zorayda Perez Pedersen, Louis Poulsen’s Social Media Officer, expressed excitement about their partnership with Henrik Vibskov, a renowned Danish fashion designer and artist. She mentioned that Vibskov has crafted an enchanting setup blending artistic lighting and design, in honor of Verner Panton and his timeless lamp creation, the Panthella.
