Revealed in a shocking new book a year after the death of French screen legend Alain Delon… My father was ‘the most beautiful man in movie history’ – but he also beat up my mother and pointed a gun at me

In simpler terms, during the golden era of French cinema, Alain Delon had an undeniable charm that was as cool as ice, yet carried a subtle undertone of risk or peril.

After serving in Indochina for the French Navy and being dismissed dishonorably, and becoming embroiled in a scandalous affair involving gangsters and orgies in 1968, it was undeniable that the man who famously undid Marianne Faithfull’s motorcycle jacket with his teeth was not only combative but also passionate.

In an explosive new book recently published in France, Alain-Fabien Delon, the youngest child of Delon, alleges that his father was abusive towards his mother and unpredictably violent, with an intense gun obsession. He claims that even in old age, his father would sleep with a loaded pistol beneath his pillow.

According to Alain-Fabien, his father attempted to kill Hiromi Rollin on two occasions, subjected her to physical abuse multiple times beyond count, and threatened her life by pointing a firearm at the back of her neck, uttering, “I will kill you.

In addition, he alleges that his father repeatedly injured his mother, Dutch model Rosalie van Breemen, by fracturing eight of her ribs and breaking her nose on two separate occasions throughout their 14-year partnership.

Alain-Fabien, a model who, much like his father, serves as a representative for Dior, reminisces about an incident where he was kept in a cage with some dogs overnight with the intention of making him tougher.

The startling disclosures can be found within the pages of the book titled “The Last Days Of The Samurai,” penned by the French investigative journalists, Laurence Pieau and Francois Vignolle.

They have reconstructed the last few months of Delon, famously known as ‘the most handsome man in cinema’, who passed away from blood cancer at 88 years old in August 2024. The narrative revolves around suspicion, as his three children, bodyguards, and mistress secretly plotted against one another behind the iron gates of his estate, Chateau de la Brulerie, located in Douchy, south of Paris.

For quite some time now, it’s been whispered that this celebrated figure in French cinema might actually be a monstrous entity. The book seems to confirm this theory as fact.

Growing up under foster care after his biological parents passed away in a car crash, Delon eventually moved back to live with his mother and stepfather whom he disliked. However, in the 1960s, Delon achieved international stardom with movies like “Plein Soleil” in 1960 and “The Leopard” in 1963 where he acted alongside Claudia Cardinale.

Known for his numerous romantic entanglements, Delon is rumored to have had relationships with a variety of women, ranging from Jane Fonda to Brigitte Bardot. However, it’s interesting to note that he tied the knot just once.

Behind the camera, Delon displayed an impressive knack for amassing wealth. He built a £42 million fortune through various business and real estate endeavors, such as owning a football club, restaurants, and a successful sunglasses line that was particularly popular in Asia. For several decades, Delon also resided in Switzerland, enabling his income to enter tax-free.

1968 saw him entangled in a notorious gang-related controversy following the demise of his former friend and once-protector, Stevan Markovic. His body was discovered discarded in a trash bin on the periphery of Paris.

It was assumed that he was eliminated following his organization of a party resembling an orgy at Delon’s residence, which he secretly filmed using a hidden camera. Reportedly, this footage contained images of Madame Georges Pompidou, the future French President’s wife, and Francois Marcantoni, a notorious Corsican crime boss, was identified as the prime suspect in the murder.

As a loyal chronicler, I’ll share an account that some have mentioned, although I personally have no direct involvement in these matters: It was whispered that I was a regular attendee at Markovic’s lavish gatherings. Moving on from those times, I’ve had the pleasure of fathering a son, Anthony, now 60 years old, with my wife, the actress Nathalie Delon. In addition to him, I have two more children: Alain-Fabien, aged 31, and Anouchka, aged 34, both born from my relationship with Rosalie van Breemen. There’s also a son, Christian Aaron Boulogne, better known as Ari, whose mother was the German actress and singer, Nico.

Regardless of the fact that Ari was adopted and brought up by Delon’s mother and stepfather while Delon struggled with addiction, Delon consistently refused to acknowledge paternity. Tragically, Ari passed away from a drug overdose in 2023, having never been recognized as Delon’s son.

As a child, Alain-Fabien vividly remembers the high levels of conflict at home, as his parents were married from 1987 to 2001. He recounts instances where his father physically harmed his mother, including fracturing her skull, twice breaking her nose, and causing eight broken ribs.

Remarkably, when questioned on French TV in 2019 regarding allegations of domestic violence, Delon nonchalantly replied: “If a slap represents masculinity, then I am indeed a masculine figure.

Additionally, Alain-Fabien shares accounts of the harsh brutality demonstrated by Delon towards Hiromi, a Japanese cinema worker who had lived with Delon for approximately 17 years and was often his assistant and caretaker. However, they were also romantically involved. According to Alain-Fabien, he couldn’t even begin to count the instances where Delon physically assaulted Hiromi. He shared this information with the authors.

Additional descriptions of the domestic violence incident are significantly detailed. The book mentions a friend of Rollin’s who observed her with swollen eyes and bruises, and on one occasion, she had visible fingerprints on her face.

According to Officer Rollin’s account, Delon repeatedly kicked her, went as far as to choke her, and made threats against her life using a firearm.

Despite their father’s health deteriorating after a stroke in 2019, requiring round-the-clock care, strife and harshness persisted within the Delon family. In the summer of 2023, Rollin was forcibly removed from the Douchy estate by her father’s children. She subsequently filed a complaint with the police, alleging that all her possessions were destroyed in a fire.

While the property was allegedly transformed into a ‘spy hideout’, according to the book, the children fiercely disputed their father’s inheritance. Alain-Fabien resided in the Douchy house for over a year, keeping an eye on his father, and Anthony, along with Anouchka, made weekly visits.

In January 2024, Anthony spoke with Paris Match magazine, leveling accusations against his half-sister Anouchka for dishonesty and concealing the outcomes of Delon’s cognitive assessments.

Anouchka retaliated by filing a legal document, stating that her father had become intolerable to the relentless accusations from his son, who repeatedly claimed he was senile.

In response, Alain-Fabien shared a covert audio clip on Instagram where Anouchka subtly implied some questionable remarks about her half-brother to their dad.

A daily companion of Alain Delon, a former bodyguard, shared with the authors that ‘Dallas’ was laughably trivial in contrast.

Among the three individuals, it’s just Alain-Fabien who has openly acknowledged Rollin as his father’s romantic partner – a declaration that might have arrived too late for the woman who stood by Delon through thick and thin, enduring cruel treatment.

He mentions that Anthony, who has quite an overinflated self-image, refused to acknowledge the existence of our other mother. If we had confronted this issue earlier, it might have prevented many complications and unsaid matters.

There was a challenging dynamic between Anouchka and the individual in question, as it appeared there was an apparent Oedipal-like situation, stemming from the fact that their father had a close relationship with Hiromi, who was considered his significant other. They resided together.

‘She was my father’s partner. Period. I grew up with Hiromi. She was always there. Always!’

In December 1989, Rollin first crossed paths with Delon while serving as the second assistant director on his movie titled “Dancing Machine”. She reminisced that there was an instant connection between them, and by 2006, she had relocated to his property in Douchy.

She was deeply offended when her family only viewed her as a caregiver, but she fiercely protested this perception. “It’s unjustifiable and utterly fabricated,” she exclaimed in frustration. “We acted like any typical couple. We showed affection, our children witnessed it, and they were fully aware that before Alain’s stroke, we slept together in the same bed.

One troubling detail about Delon’s later life, as portrayed in the book, involved his fixation on accumulating an arsenal of firearms at Douchy. In a raid conducted in February 2024, gendarmes confiscated 72 unlawfully owned firearms and over 3,000 rounds of ammunition. Remarkably, Delon maintained a loaded pistol by his bed.

Alain-Fabien informed the authors that he had felt very uneasy about the gun and took out the bullets initially, only for Anthony to replace them later on saying ‘Don’t fret, he won’t commit suicide.’ However, Alain-Fabien remembered a chilling incident in 2023 when he went out with his bodyguard to grab some kebabs, and upon returning home, his elderly father brandished a pistol at him.

From then on, Alain-Fabien tried to place fake bullets in gun barrels, without telling his father.

‘Until the end, he honestly believed the gun he slept with was loaded,’ he confided.

After an accidental discharge of a gun, which caused a bullet to pass through Delon’s pillow and then lodge in the wall, Hiromi Rollin mentioned that she subsequently found a temporary place to stay in another room.

Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that Delon left behind a £42 million estate, likely leading to numerous legal disputes over the following years.

According to Anouchka’s attorney, Frank Berton, Anouchka’s brothers are expected to accept a share of 25% each from their father’s estate, while Anouchka would receive 50%.

Additionally, Charles and Blanche, offspring of Ari Boulogne, have joined the story. They seek a genetic test aimed at establishing their relationship as the star’s biological grandchildren.

Regarding Rollin, she continues to harbor the expectation of gaining something from the estate. A confidant close to her disclosed to the Daily Mail: “She was heartbroken upon being evicted from the shared home with Alain Delon, and informed that she would never see him again. To this day, nothing has been rectified, and she remains in a profoundly distressed state.

She’s holding onto a sliver of optimism from Alain-Fabien recognizing her as his father’s companion. However, the passing of the actor, who was once hailed as Europe‘s equivalent to James Dean, has uncovered a chain of tragic and intricate realities about this French legend.

Upon the passing of Delon, the nation observed deep sadness. French President Emmanuel Macron expressed, “Heartbroken, beloved, enigmatic, he transcended stardom – he stood as a monumental symbol of France.

Luxury brand Dior honored an actor who promoted their men’s fragrance, Eau Sauvage, as a representation of timeless masculinity. On the other hand, Brigitte Bardot, similar to Delon, part of the post-war generation of French actors responsible for making their nation appealing, youthful, and trendy, commented: “With Alain’s passing, we close the captivating chapter of a bygone era, in which he stood as its grand monument.

But who would celebrate him now?
