Following several weeks of high-octane Counter-Strike 2 gameplay, the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 tournament reaches its climax as Team Vitality squares off against The MongolZ.

Only two teams, Team Vitality and The MongolZ, were left in the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025. They had endured nearly three weeks of intense Counter-Strike 2 gameplay to reach the championship match. In this final encounter, they would both fight for supremacy in a deciding best-of-three series.

2025 found Vitality quite accustomed to contending in championship finals. With several victories claimed throughout the year, they aimed to add another to their collection. Their remarkable winning spree was brought to an end merely a week prior, but they still stood as front-runners for the title. Yet, the tale of the underdog was dominating discussions. The MongolZ had been on a phenomenal journey through the Major. Exceeding all predictions, they were poised to make history.

Instead of Vitality showing dominance on Mirage as expected, it was MongolZ who ruled supreme. Their map pick choice saw them taking command, hinting at a potential major upset. The Mongolian team seized the lead before the switch and were flawless during their Counter-Terrorist play. Six consecutive rounds without reply were what sealed the first map win for them, setting the stage for one of the biggest upsets in CS2 history.

On Dust 2, it was Vitality who demonstrated their true might. Right from the get-go, they played precisely as we anticipated, and MongolZ struggled to counter them effectively. With the series leveled at 1-1, Vitality dominated Map 2, leaving MongolZ with few opportunities for resistance.

On Dust 2, it was the first time Vitality truly demonstrated their strength. True to form, they played just as we anticipated since the beginning of the match. Unfortunately for MongolZ, they had few opportunities to counter Vitality’s strategies, given that the series was evenly matched at 1-1. However, it was clear from their impressive showing on Map 2 that Vitality was the dominant force.

In the ultimate clash at the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, the map selected for the deciding game was Inferno. This final match determined the victor of the Major. Regrettably, MongolZ’s impressive run came to an end. Despite managing to win one game against the most powerful team in CS2, they failed to secure another victory. Although they claimed a few more rounds, it wasn’t sufficient to stage a comeback.

In the end, propelled by favorable winds, Vitality clinched the victory – their 8th win this year of 2025. Regrettably, despite an impressive demonstration of skill, MongolZ had to be content with runner-up position in the Major tournament.

With that being said, the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 has concluded, with Team Vitality emerging victorious. In a short while, both Vitality and MongolZ will return to the field at the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Cologne 2025 and the Esports World Cup 2025.
