Millie Mackintosh reveals close encounter with SHARKS after ’embarrassing’ late night skinny-dipping on holiday

Millie Mackintosh reminisced about a cringe-worthy experience when she unwittingly went for a swim with sharks while skinny dipping.

As a devoted follower, I found myself basking in the sun-drenched landscapes of Fraser Island [K’gari], Australia, during a memorable vacation with friends, and it was none other than the charismatic former Made In Chelsea star who accompanied me on this adventure at the age of 35.

At the age of 18, Millie and her companions were advised against swimming in the ocean due to nearby sharks. However, they disregarded the warning and chose to engage in skinny-dipping one evening instead.

In a conversation with The Times, she shared her reasoning: ‘I assumed that if I kept myself near the coastline, everything would turn out alright.’

All of a sudden, two life guards sprinted towards me, beckoning me ashore. Their urgent cries reached my ears, “Hurry, get out of the sea – it’s shark mating time!” I was immediately on alert, heeding their warning and hastily exiting the waters.

In my current state of undress, I weighed the potential embarrassment against the possibility of becoming a meal. Ultimately, choosing to feel awkward around the lifeguards seemed like the less daunting option.

Lately, Millie flaunted her well-toned body during a family trip to Turkey last month.

During her leisurely vacation, she was regularly informing her followers about her experiences, all the while enhancing her sun-kissed skin tone.

Millie posted a beautiful assortment of her summery outfits, captured during her vacation, to her 1.4 million Instagram followers.

In a single image, the bustling mom donned a petite, striped blue-and-white swimsuit, flaunting the assortment of styles she’d gathered during her vacation.

The star has recently shared that she grappled with her sexuality during her youth, as she publicly disclosed this aspect of herself.

She told how she would only find the coverage to ‘kiss’ women when she was drunk.

In an interview for the Saturn Returns Podcast by Caggie Dunlop, Millie shared that she used to kiss women when she was under the influence as a teenager. However, she didn’t feel comfortable pursuing such encounters when she was sober.

At school, I had secret crushes on several girls but lacked the understanding to acknowledge my feelings openly. Instead, I would develop crushes and become quite awkward around them. I recall having sleepovers with some of them and finding myself wondering if they might kiss me.

Millie mentioned that she’s delved deeply into many challenges she’s faced during therapy, sharing with Caggie: “I’ve investigated my feelings towards other women extensively, having been bullied, I do struggle with intimacy, yet there’s also an attraction present.

It’s clear that I’m married to a man, and our relationship doesn’t have any issues currently, but reflecting on the past, I realize that my marriage was one of the factors that led me to drink excessively in a harmful manner. I didn’t fully comprehend a part of myself, and I struggled to find an appropriate way to express it. This, coupled with fear, made me feel uncomfortable to express myself genuinely.

‘Everytime I would drink I would just keep doing it, even if I was in a relationship.’

In the year 2022, I made a life-changing decision – I chose sobriety. I’ve been open about my personal struggle with alcohol, sharing my story honestly and authentically. Recently, I penned down my journey in a heartfelt memoir titled ‘Bad Drunk’.

Describing the instance when she disclosed her sexuality to her partner, Hugo Taylor, it became clear that his response was extremely supportive.
