Rachel Zegler praised after leaping to the defense of her bodyguard: ‘Don’t disrespect my Danny’
Rachel Zegler is being praised for leaping to the defense of the man whose job is to protect her.
24-year-old actress from the show “White Star,” playing in Evita at the London Palladium, defended her bodyguard when it appeared that a fan had an issue with his actions taken to safeguard her.
On Saturday, a TikTok video emerged showing Zegler making a statement while signing autographs. In the clip, she said to a fan, “He is watching over me.
When the fan responded by saying it was “overkill, unnecessary force,” the actress from West Side Story remained resolute, while her bodyguard, dressed in a snug white shirt and black trousers, stayed silent nearby.
The People’s Choice Award winner stated, ‘He assists me here, as large groups can be quite overwhelming for him.’
When the autograph requestor countered with somewhat unclear words, she responded, “I understand buddy, and I adore you immensely, but please, let’s not show disregard for my Danny, alright?

After seeing the clip, fans rushed to stick up for the actress who stood up for her bodyguard.
‘“Please don’t disrespect my Danny” is everything,’ wrote one admirer.
‘Having to gentle parent adults about the necessity of a body guard is crazy,’ contended another.
‘She’s such a Disney princess (literally)’ wrote a viewer.
A fan expressed admiration for Zegler’s courteous defense of Danny, saying, ‘indeed, I won’t buy into the negative rhetoric some people are circulating about her.’
The actress learned that the video had become widely popular online and subsequently reposted a message from a fan, who had written, ‘he’s OUR Danny now, mom.’ (Informal)
In my role as a lifestyle aficionado, I’m thrilled to share that I had the pleasure of attending the highly-anticipated revival of the Tony Award-winning musical by the dynamic duo, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, right here in London. The curtains rose on this spectacular production on June 14th.
Instead, let me rephrase that for you: During a captivating turn of events, when Zegler sings the powerful ballad “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina,” she moves to the balcony at the Palladium, allowing any nearby listeners to enjoy her performance. At the same time, the performance is broadcast onto screens inside the theater.
While some might believe that the 24-year-old Zegler is too young to portray the ex-First Lady of Argentina, it’s important to remember that Eva Peron passed away at only 33 years old.
She expressed to Vogue that it’s a role in musical theater for women that offers everything an actress could dream of performing.
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to belt out some tunes vigorously, show off your dancing skills, and delve deeply into a character’s life as you portray her from the age of 15 through to her passing at the age of 33.
Regarding the contentious figure known as Evita in real life, she commented, “Even today, Argentinians either admire her deeply or strongly dislike her. However, her influence remains significant. To me, it’s marvelous when something stirs emotions and invites the audience to share their feelings.

Zegler’s 12 week run opened on June 14 and was scheduled to end on September 6.
In regards to the dispute surrounding her role as Snow White in Disney, the Golden Globe winner exercises caution.
‘It was a lot of wonderful hard work,’ she told the publication.
I’m incredibly pleased with the effort put into it and how my work was appreciated, as this project holds great significance to me, just like all other projects I dedicate myself to.
