Emily Atack throws sun-soaked party to celebrate son Barney’s first birthday with celebrity guests and lavish menu

On Saturday, Emily Atack and her partner Alistair Garner hosted an extravagant bash to mark their son Barney’s initial birthday celebration.

35-year-old actress dazzled in a vibrant summer gown amidst the renowned attendees enjoying the sunny weather in the stunning garden of her residence in London.

Emily adorned the setting for the event with colorful banners and flags, and the young guests were given access to a playful ball pit.

The grand, vibrant spread showcased elaborately designed sweets, such as cookies adorned with Barney’s name, along with an assortment of fresh fruits and popcorn.

Leigh Francis, who previously worked with Emily on Celebrity Juice, and now aged 52, was pictured with Emily’s sibling George, a singer at 32 years old. He humorously referred to them as twins because of their matching outfits.

On Friday, Barney celebrated his first birthday, and Emily shared cherished moments from his past year on Instagram, showcasing everything from the day he was born (a memorable moment for us all), to more recent snaps of our happy family times together.

In a delightful manner, she labeled the pictures as follows: ‘Celebrating the 1st birthday of our little one, Barney James Garner – Our Adorable Barn Owlet.’

I’ve longed for you throughout my entire existence. You were always meant to be. My affection for you transcends any words, for we are truly a remarkable duo, our stunning, STUNNING son.

‘You are so cherished my heart could burst.’

Previously known “Inbetweeners” actor shared a picture of Barney napping on Alistair’s torso through his Instagram Stories as well.

She captioned the post with: ‘One whole year of our baby Barnicle.

These early days, which seemed hazy, confused, and out of focus, blend together so much that they continue to feel as fresh as yesterday.

Quite a few famous friends of Emily’s left heartfelt messages in the comments on her photo series, offering their good wishes to the young person.

Fleur East, a contestant on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! in 2018, wrote: ‘Wow! It’s been an entire year? That’s incredible! Happy Birthday Barney with love, Fleur xxx.’

Former Countdown assistant host Carol Vorderman penned: ‘Happy ONETH birthday Barney.’

Capital Breakfast radio host, Sian Welby, who celebrated her little girl Ruby’s first birthday in June 2024, expressed affectionately: ‘What a delightful milestone! Here’s wishing you a wonderful birthday!’

And the former Love Island host Laura Whitmore commented: ‘Happy birthday Barney you legend! X’

Emily first announced her pregnancy, via an Instagram post, in December 2024.

She wrote: ‘I’ve never been so happy and utterly terrified at the same time.

Each day brings an exciting blend of excitement, apprehension, happiness, and frenzy, often culminating in a good deal of nausea – much like the experience one might have after disembarking the Oblivion roller coaster at Alton Towers when suffering from a hangover.

As a devoted follower, I’ve become incredibly attuned to my body, understanding it in ways that feel almost unbelievable. This profound insight has only served to deepen my gratitude for the remarkable gift of this vessel I carry.
