Originally premiering on Disney+ in March, the show titled “Renegade Nell” garnered favorable critiques, yet unfortunately, it was terminated after only one season. Starting today (June 22), this captivating historical fantasy series can now be viewed on ITVX.
Nell Jackson is wrongly implicated in a murder case and suddenly transforms into the most infamous outlaw in 18th-century England; however, when a mystical entity named Billy Blind emerges, Nell discovers her fate is far greater than she ever dared to imagine.
Besides Jason Sudeikis, the outstanding ensemble featured Nick Mohammed from Ted Lasso, Adrian Lester known for The Undeclared War, Craig Parkinson famed in Misfits, and Jodhi May, best recognized for Dune: Prophecy.
Despite being only aired for one season, the program received widespread acclaim, earning an impressive 87% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 37 professional critiques.
She expressed that the show is an exceptional female-centric action series, featuring a woman who is smart, humorous, and radiates positivity. It’s triumphant, filled with drama and humor, and carries a profoundly feminist spirit!
