Los Ratones claimed the EMEA Masters 2025 title for the second time

At the EMEA Masters 2025 Spring, Los Ratones clinched their fourth victory of the season after triumphing over Barça Esports.

The team of mice, known as Los Ratones, didn’t participate this time because they had already secured their second European, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Masters championship title in 2025, a remarkable feat considering the team was formed only seven months prior. They claimed their first EMEA Masters Winter title back in March during their debut competition.

Initially, teams Los Ratones and Barça Esports were placed together in the competition’s opening round. During this initial phase, Barça Esports beat Los Ratones 2-0. Despite this loss, Los Ratones managed to move forward by overpowering Kaufland Hangry Knights. Subsequently, they encountered a team they had history with – NORD Esports – which they faced in a prior matchup.

In their initial encounter, they faced challenges against BoostGate Esports but emerged victorious with a score of 3-2. In the semifinals, Los Ratones outplayed BK ROG Esports, securing a spot in the Grand Finals. There, they squared off against Barça Esports once more, but this time the outcome was decisive: Los Ratones triumphed with a score of 3-0. Their dominance throughout the competition is evident, even considering their rocky start. The team will be bringing home a prize pool of €24,000 ($27,659).

In the spring season of the EMEA Masters 2025, Tim “Nemesis” Lipovšek, the mid-laner for Los Ratones, was awarded Most Valuable Player (MVP). This recognition came following his impressive displays in games using champions Ahri (with a score of 1/3/9), Hwei (5/5/15), and Xerath (11/0/12).

This fresh championship title marks the fourth trophy Los Ratones have secured this season. They’ve already claimed two NLC trophies, one each for Winter and Spring, plus the EMEA Masters 2025 Spring crown, making it an impressive achievement to win all these titles in a single season. Here is their lineup:

  • Simon “Baus” Hofverberg
  • Veljko “Velja” Čamdžić
  • Tim “Nemesis” Lipovšek
  • Juš “Crownie” Marušič
  • Carl “Rekkles” Martin Erik Larsson
