Emma Roberts’ secret hobby revealed as she makes surprise appearance at Fanatics event
At Fanatics Fest 2025 held in New York City on a Friday, Emma Roberts‘ hidden pastime came to light during her attendance.
At the Zimmermann Summer event this week, the 34-year-old actress from American Horror Story attracted attention among other stars, including former NFL player Tom Brady, who was also present during the celebrations.
The mother of one is quite familiar with the realm of sports, often expressing her interest in one particular hobby: accumulating trading cards.
Back in January, Roberts shared on her Instagram stories that she had acquired a Jackson Holliday Topps Chrome baseball card. Jackson Holliday plays as an infielder for the Baltimore Orioles.
She posted a picture showing herself, holding a card with one hand covering her mouth in delight, capturing that moment.
At the beginning of the image, Emma wrote to her audience: ‘This is the face I make upon revealing my most exclusive 1/1. #UniqueOneDay @Topps.’
In April this year, she posted a collection of photos on her main page, displaying additional cards that she had drawn.
One item among them was a signed Caleb Williams football card, recognizable as the quarterback for the Chicago Bears.
In the image, Roberts could be seen seated at what seemed like a restaurant table, with card decks and sealed aluminum packets positioned before her.
She displayed the Williams card, lifting it high for the camera’s view, while maintaining a broad grin on her visage.
The final photo displayed a pair of Star Wars collectibles, featuring one depicting Darth Vader and another representing Mustafar.
One wrote, “I’m a collector! 👏” while the other said, “Your cards are amazing, great finds!
A fan commented, “Does the sweater match the high-end packaging’s theme?” indicating they were referring to the packaging of the collectible card. At present, they believe the individual is performing exceptionally well.
One exclaimed, “‘Are you pulling cards apart?'” while the other suggested, “Friend, we’d love to see unboxing videos of packs. It would help satisfy our curiosity.
At the 2025 Fanatics Fest, Emma was given the opportunity to participate in a discussion on Friday for the panel titled “Ready. Set. Collect.
On the stage, she was also joined by retired NFL quarterback Tom Brady as well as Logan Paul.
In simpler terms, the former Scream Queen donned a dark blue, patterned sleeveless dress, accessorized with transparent black stockings and high heels.
Her hair, a shade of red, was divided in the middle and gracefully cascaded below her shoulders in soft ripples.
Earlier this February, the star showcased a fresh hair color, having been known for her blonde tresses before.
A few days prior to her trip to New York City, the actress showcased a fashionable look while spending time in Mykonos, Greece.
On a Tuesday, she went to the Zimmerman Summer Luncheon and sported a dress adorned with patterns, paired with a set of stylish, tanned sandals with open toes.
She had her hair neatly braided into two sections, and she was holding a trendy handbag filled with essentials for the occasion.
Beyond Emma’s usual attire, she also donned a pair of oversized sunglasses to shield her eyes from the intense sunlight at the seaside event location.
Previously on Monday, the star was captured smiling during a quick photoshoot on a beachy expanse close to the shoreline.
At the Zimmerman Summer event, she donned a dress that reached below her feet, with a semi-transparent quality. Notably, Olivia Wilde, an actress, was among the other celebrities who graced the occasion as well.
More recently, Roberts shared her enthusiasm for collecting trading cards. Interestingly, this celebrity is also known to enjoy a pastime of reading books.
In 2017, she co-founded an online reading community called Belletrist alongside her good friend Karah Preiss.
In a conversation with People last year, Emma shared insights on selecting books for her book club, confessing that there’s no specific method or recipe involved.
She mentioned, “It doesn’t matter what moves us, but let me clarify… We select books that not only do we read, but also feel compelled to discuss. That’s the essence of a Belletrist selection. After reading it, you’ll think: I need to share my thoughts on this book – immediately!
Since 2022, Roberts has been in a romantic partnership with actor Cody John. Last July, they made their happy news public by announcing their engagement.
The actress is also mom to son Rhodes, four – whom she shares with ex Garrett Hedlund.
