Tammy Hembrow’s brother shares tale of woe about the consequences of his FIVE YEARS of steroid use and family issues – as details emerge of his sickening assault on his girlfriend
Tammy Hembrow’s brother recounted a sad story about his battles with drug abuse, personal issues within the family, and mental health challenges, following his conviction for a string of domestic violence incidents directed at his former partner.
On Thursday, Henri Oscar Thynne, aged 21 and the sibling of a well-known social media influencer, was granted parole following his confession to charges involving sexual assault, strangulation, and stalking in the Brisbane District Court.
In court, Thynne was labeled a serious threat or danger by the judge. As a result, Thynne received a maximum sentence of three years in prison. However, due to the 349 days he had already spent in Queensland’s high-security Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre, he was granted release from custody.
The medical report presented at the trial stated that Thynne’s emotional self-regulation and decision-making abilities were affected significantly, likely due to prolonged steroid abuse which began when he was 16 years old.
It was revealed in court that Thynne struggled with a severe addiction to steroids, from the age of 16 until he turned 21. Since ceasing the use of performance-enhancing substances while in detention, he has shed approximately 20 kilograms of body weight.
Greg McGuire, representing Thynne’s legal counsel, stated that the defendant has been medically diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, and Bipolar Disorder. At one point, while in detention, the defendant had attempted suicide.
In his teenage years, it was alleged in court that Thynne endured a tumultuous upbringing, marked by both physical and emotional abuse inflicted upon him by his mother.
Thynne’s offences began in November 2023.

Last March, while they were in a relationship, Thynne committed sexual assault on his partner when she explicitly declined his advances for intimacy.
The Crown prosecutor told the court that Thynne pushed her onto the bed and ripped off her pants.
During a particular instance, as they were both enjoying a movie, Thynne allegedly struck his partner on the head and addressed her with an offensive term, referring to her as a derogatory name.
On another occasion he pushed her against a wall and choked her while saying ‘I own you’.
According to McGuire, the pair maintained an unusual relationship, as they were both bodybuilders who resorted to using anabolic steroids throughout their time together.
During the sentencing, it seemed that Thynne’s parents, Nathaniel Thynne and Nathalie Stanley, were absent from the courtroom.
Henri’s victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, bravely read out a victim impact statement.
Later that night, she made an appearance on A Current Affair on Channel Nine, discussing another distressing event that took place during Thynne’s imprisonment, which she went into detail about.
She asserted that she was viciously attacked and thoroughly assaulted by three men as she walked home one night.
‘I got out and these guys just got out of the car and started walking towards me.’
After that, she asserted that the men had physically harmed her. They struck her in the face and also attempted to injure her with a razor blade.

Later on, she stated that the men had violently attacked her. Not only did they punch her in the face, but they also threatened her with a razor blade.
‘I got absolutely beaten up by these three guys,’ she said. ‘I got my face smashed in.’
‘They ripped my trakkies open and got a razor blade and carved a H into my leg.’

The victim then claimed after the attack she was left by the side of the road in the rain.
When ACA asked the victim if she knew her attackers, she claimed she had a good idea.
She stated, “We’re quite confident about the situation at hand. We’re merely attempting to connect it with specific individuals.
Daily Mail Australia is not suggesting Henri Thynne was involved in the alleged attack.
Previously in the conversation, the victim confessed that she felt threatened by Henri due to a deep sense of concern for her own safety.
‘On the night he strangled me really badly, I thought I was going to die,’ she said.
‘He ruined me. I’m never going to be the same person that I was before the abuse ever again.’
Additionally, she shared insights into her relationship with Thynne, revealing how his behavior gradually became more controlling – such as requiring approval before she could get her hair or nails done – soon escalated to physical abuse.
She mentioned, “I was about to hit the gym with him. I asked him if he liked my leggings, and instead of responding, he became furious and shoved me onto the bed before tearing my pants apart.
‘He was saying things like, “If you want to dress like a s*** then I’ll treat you like a s***”.

After delivering a compelling statement during Thynne’s court proceedings on Thursday, the victim subsequently made an admission.
She started by expressing her concerns about feeling secure in daily activities. This experience, she said, has had a profound and lasting impact on her life.
Prior to any incidents that could diminish my spirits, I was a cheerful, self-assured individual, evident in my character, online presence, and interactions with others.
The court heard she was now so fearful that she packed up and moved interstate twice.
‘Since experiencing the abuse and assaults from him, I have changed.
In my relentless pursuit for tranquility, I found myself uprooted twice, shifting residences across two distinct states. Yet, wherever I landed, the shadows of anxiety and dread lingered, a constant specter that I feared would one day materialize as an encounter with him.
In the courtroom, Thynne displayed minimal feelings as he remained seated, intermittently moving his body backward and forwards, with his head hung low.
According to Greg McGuire, the pair maintained a peculiar relationship since they were both bodybuilders who resorted to using anabolic steroids while in their romantic involvement.
Soon after sentencing concluded the victim posted a stark warning on her social media page.
Alert! A convicted criminal, who admitted to all charges against them, is now back on the streets of Brisbane. Be sure to secure your homes!
Note of Caution: He confessed to crimes including sexual assault, assault, strangulation twice, and violations such as breaching a domestic violence order, bail conditions, and unlawful acts. Yet, he was granted parole.
She emphasized that the law-making process requires improvement… she found this unacceptable, and rest assured, you’ll likely hear more from her on this subject in the future.

Lately, the actions of Thynne have brought sorrow to his well-known half-sibling, Tammy Hembrow (aged 31). She encountered significant criticism from the public just last month when she refuted allegations suggesting her support for him.
In a widely-viewed TikTok video (over 2 million times), Hembrow clarified that she did not bail out her younger brother. She emphasized that she has no connection to his ongoing legal matters.
As a connoisseur of all things lifestyle-related, I seldom find it necessary to weigh in on matters outside my expertise. However, the current situation demands my attention because the statements circulating about me are simply unfounded. This issue warrants clarity and truth.
‘Firstly, I have had no involvement whatsoever in ever bailing my little brother out of anything.
To clarify, I have neither been part of any legal matters nor have I had any communication or encounters with my brother. I stand completely detached from this situation.
Afterward, she clarified that she strongly disapproves of ‘any kind of violence’ and expressed sympathy for all those affected.
