Troubled The Flash star Ezra Miller sparks concern with bizarre interview

A month following their unexpected appearance at Cannes, Ezra Miller granted an infrequent and somewhat peculiar interview, choosing to sit down for the occasion.

The 32-year-old actor, who identifies as nonbinary and prefers they/them pronouns, shared their thoughts about their acting future during an interview with Italian publication Lo Speciale Giornale on Thursday, stating that it remains uncertain at this point.

At the Filming Italy Sardegna Festival in Cagliari, Italy, Miller made his debut on the red carpet after a two-year absence.

The secluded movie star, who graced the screen in the 2023 Flash movie, found themselves embroiled in a series of legal troubles last year, such as assault accusations and claims of grooming, which left many astonished. However, they made a surprising appearance at one of the world’s most renowned film festivals for the premiere of Die, My Love, standing in solidarity with their friend Lynne Ramsey.

In the sun-kissed city of Cannes, I found myself savoring a moment with a cigarette tucked between two fingers. However, it wasn’t just the sea breeze or the aroma of the French Riviera that filled my thoughts. Instead, it was the incredible talent and friendship embodied in one remarkable woman – Lynne Ramsey, a close friend of mine and undoubtedly one of the greatest living filmmakers we have today.

Miller asserted that they are collaborating on a movie project with Ramsey, who is 55 years old. They mentioned that this potential film could mark their comeback to Hollywood.

I’ve found myself expressing quite frequently: ‘I’ve been immersed in the art of writing, as it turns out, solitude has been my most amiable companion during this creative journey.’

Miller continued by expressing that they were prepared to go to great lengths for their filmmaking companion, Ramsey, acknowledging that returning to public scrutiny after Cannes could be challenging. However, they then veered off into an odd direction once more.

‘After spending three years in the woods, it wouldn’t be wise to head directly to Cannes, as that city is filled with photographers, odd characters, and wealthy individuals who have committed genocide, if you catch my drift.’

A month ago, they unexpectedly showed up at the Cannes Film Festival, which was a surprising move since they had kept a low profile for several years following their scandals.

On the red carpet, the star who was having some difficulties made an appearance, dressed in a maroon tuxedo and a beret perched atop their long locks. However, they moved swiftly without pausing for any photos to be taken.

Miller attended the premiere of director Ramsay’s film “Die, My Love,” which features Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson, to offer his support.

The Flash actor previously worked with the director on the 2011 film We Need to Talk About Kevin.

Since the release of The Flash, which unfortunately did not fare well at the box office, Miller has chosen to keep a less visible presence.

Last year, they stepped away from public attention following an apology for past actions and expressed that they were addressing intricate psychological concerns.

Prior to that point, I was frequently featured in news headlines due to numerous arrests and a sequence of troubling accusations, one of which involved the alleged manipulation of a young girl.

Online videos emerged showing the actor seemingly attacking innocent people, and distressing claims arose that the celebrity was rumored to have weapons scattered throughout his residence where children lived.

They were arrested in Hawaii after allegedly attacking a couple at a karaoke bar in 2022. 

Approximately a month past, they were apprehended once more under suspicion of causing harm to a woman, specifically by hurling a chair towards her head.

In addition, they faced charges for harassing a woman in Germany. It is said that they kept three children and their mother in an unsafe living situation in Vermont.

And they were also charged with felony burglary in the same state. 

In June 2023, the protective order against them in Massachusetts was removed, marking the conclusion of their legal difficulties.

Previously, allegations were made against the actor regarding inappropriate conduct towards a 12-year-old boy and his family.

Lately, Miller has been performing alongside Tokata Iron Eyes, who is now 21 years old and identifies as an indigenous, non-binary individual, in the group known as Hundred In The Hand, according to their recent Instagram updates.

They allegedly met in 2016 when Tokata was 12 and Miller was 23. 

Previously, Tokata’s parents had filed a petition alleging that Miller was involved in ‘influencing a minor improperly’, as well as exhibiting ‘manipulative and controlling behavior reminiscent of a cult’.

Last year, her father shared that they had withdrawn the complaint lodged in June 2022 regarding a matter that was being handled as a ‘grooming’ case. He added that they are making every effort to put this situation behind them and move forward.

At the time, Miller said they were ‘very grateful.’ 

I’m quite pleased with today’s results and feel incredibly thankful right now to all those who have supported me throughout. Their efforts to put a stop to this inappropriate use of the protective order system are truly appreciated.

They then slammed the press in their social media statement. 

I kindly urge journalists who hastily disseminate unfounded statements and overlook the reality and background of this tale, to adhere to a more stringent code of ethics and devote effort to uncover the facts, instead of pursuing sensational headlines.
