Madonna blasted for her behavior by Broadway star who reveals her shocking act in Hamilton audience
Anthony Ramos, a Broadway star, criticized Madonna’s past behavior during a performance of Hamilton, as he publicly spoke out about it.
In 2015, Anthony was part of the initial Broadway production of the musical, portraying not one but two characters. One of these characters was Philip, Alexander Hamilton’s son, who met an unfortunate end in a duel.
Despite the fact that viewers were moved to tears repeatedly during Anthony’s death scene, it seems that the performance failed to hold Madonna’s interest.
On Watch What Happens Live!, it was mentioned that Anthony claimed the Queen of Pop was seen sitting in the theater, engrossed in her tablet, during the entire performance.
During his time with “Hamilton,” when Andy Cohen inquired, “Who among celebrities gave you the scariest moment when they were in the audience?”, Anthony didn’t mince words.
He mentioned that the most unsettling sight was Madonna constantly gazing at her iPad. She seemed to be engrossed in it throughout our interaction.
He said with a chuckle, “Well, I guess I just blurted out, ‘Oh dear me, friend,’ and suggested, ‘If this isn’t your thing, you can always leave, the exit is over there. You’re welcome to go if you prefer.’
It wasn’t just Anthony who brought up the viral Madonna incident from 2015, the year “Hamilton” premiered on Broadway; other members of the cast have also done so.
Lin-Manuel Miranda, who not just played Alexander Hamilton but also penned the script, music, and lyrics for the production, seemed to post a tweet referring to Madonna.
Tonight marked the instance where I requested the stage team keep a certain celebrity, who was distracted by texting during Act 2, away from backstage. He posted “#noselfiesforyou” as his comment.
In the wake of his cryptic tweet being removed, I couldn’t help but speculate that it was Madge who was being referenced, despite no direct mention. The whispers around town grew louder by the minute.
The rumor had spread far and wide, but eventually Madonna’s representative refuted it. They stated through Us Weekly: “What’s been reported is false. She was extended invitations to the backstage area on no less than four occasions.
After the performance, she sent a message regarding their charity appeal. It was mentioned by the representative that Madonna had already contributed generously.
Nevertheless, it’s been made clear by Jonathan Groff, the actor portraying King George III, that Madonna wasn’t given backstage access due to her being preoccupied with her phone.

According to Dot429, the performer from Spring Awakening emphatically stated that the audience’s dark expanse on stage couldn’t be ignored, and for much of the performance, her face was illuminated by the light coming from her iPhone.
Two years ago, Madonna reportedly had a disagreement with the Hamilton cast, following her ban from the Alamo Drafthouse cinema chain. The ban was imposed after she was accused of texting during a screening of the Academy Award-winning film, “12 Years a Slave.
At the screening, when someone else requested that she silence her phone, it is said that she retorted sharply, “It’s for business…master!” as mentioned by Page Six.
Or:
During the movie screening, another attendee asked her to turn off her phone, and she allegedly responded brusquely, “It’s for work…boss!” according to Page Six.
Madonna, who became famous for her hit song “Like a Virgin,” also has an extensive background with the New York theater scene. In fact, she acted in a David Mamet play named “Speed-the-Plow” on Broadway back in 1988.
Additionally, she gained recognition for portraying the controversial character of Eva Peron, the Argentine first lady, in the 1996 film version of the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice musical “Evita.
Several years back, Patti LuPone, a Tony Award winner for her portrayal of Eva in the original Broadway cast of the stage show, notably criticized her performance.
Patti remarked, “Madonna lacks skill in acting. She appears emotionless and seems incapable of giving a convincing performance, whether it’s on screen or on stage.
On Watch What Happens Live!, she conceded that Madonna is an exceptional entertainer in her field, but criticized her acting skills.
