Eric Dane’s alleged girlfriend ‘blindsided’ by his red carpet debut with new romance amid ALS battle

As a devoted admirer of Eric Dane, I was taken aback to learn that reports suggest his alleged girlfriend, Priya Jain, felt blindsided when the actor stepped onto the red carpet with a new love interest this past week in LA.

52-year-old actor from Euphoria, who announced his ALS diagnosis in April, was spotted at the premiere of his latest series Countdown on Wednesday. Interestingly, filmmaker Janell Shirtcliff accompanied him at the event.

He displayed a friendly grin while taking a quick picture and snuggling with Janell during the gathering.

However, it appears that Dane’s reported partner, Priya Jain, was taken aback by the news – as a source shared with Page Six on Thursday, ‘They had not parted ways.’

Last year in November, there were rumors about Eric dating the actress, after he had separated from his wife Rebecca Gayheart. However, their divorce has been paused due to his struggle with ALS.

Last year towards its end, I learned that Dane and Priya had become exclusive partners. After he received the unfortunate health news, I was left heartbroken, but I chose to stand by his side throughout it all.

As per the information, Eric and Jain have frequently stayed overnight at his residence, with some of her personal items stored there as well.

Over the weekend, they had a chance to be together – an event happening mere days prior to his appearance on the red carpet alongside Shirtcliff.

Last month, in May specifically, it was publicly observed that Priya was out in Los Angeles with the actor. They were spotted together.

This past Tuesday, the former star of Grey’s Anatomy was seen out on a romantic evening with Janell at the renowned Chateau Marmont, located in West Hollywood.

On the subsequent day, he was joined by Shirtcliff at the debut of his most recent Amazon Prime Video crime drama series, Countdown.

They were spotted locking tender gazes while standing close for the photographers, with Eric wearing a breezy white outfit and Janell in a stylish burgundy cocktail dress.

According to a recent report by Entertainment Tonight, they’ve had their ups and downs in their relationship that has lasted more than three years, and their feelings for each other run quite deep.

According to the source, Eric requested Janell’s presence in his current situation, which she was willing to provide. It’s important to note that they are very close to each other and hold significant importance in each other’s lives.

On Tuesday, the source added, they had a delightful day filled with laughter, cheerfulness, and affection.

On a red carpet event for his latest police drama series on a Wednesday, Eric expressed: “I’m feeling great,” when speaking to Variety in an interview.

The former Grey’s Anatomy star expressed delight at being present with everyone, noting how our long, hard-worked efforts seem to magically unfold on the screen.

After being asked if he planned to carry on with his career despite his health issues, he straightforwardly told E! News on Tuesday, “I’ll keep going until there’s nothing left,” which was followed by his recent appearance.

‘It keeps me sharp. It keeps me moving forward, which is super important right now.’

Despite having been diagnosed with ALS a year ago, causing him to lose the functionality of his dominant right arm, Eric maintains that he still feels fantastic while on the job.

In April, the actor shared with People that he had received a diagnosis of ALS. He expressed his gratitude for having his loving family with him as they embark on this new phase together.

He then gave a positive update and explained that he still had plans to continue work on set. 

Two months ago, a surprising development occurred when Eric and his formerly estranged wife, Rebecca Gayheart, halted their divorce proceedings. They are the parents of Billie (age 15) and Georgia (age 13).

Back in March, Gayheart sought to drop the divorce proceedings that she initiated in 2018, as reported by TMZ.

Over the course of time, a relatively uncommon, progressive, and non-curable neurological disorder gradually affects the functioning of the nervous system, leading to progressive muscle weakness and eventual loss of movement.

Approximately half of people diagnosed with ALS typically live for about three years following the first appearance of symptoms, but there are cases where individuals live much longer, even for several decades.

Currently, the high-octane action star from “The Bad Boys” series is undergoing treatment with medication to manage his symptoms, and he’s also actively involved in a research project.

Eric told Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America, “If doctors said that doing so would be helpful, I’d travel to Germany and consume a rattlesnake head. I’m willing to take the risk.

Daniel is concerned that within the next few months, he may lose the ability to use his left hand, and he is equally anxious about potential issues with his legs.

With a gleam in my eye and a fire in my soul, I confidently declare, “I’m not ready to write the final chapter yet. Oh, absolutely! I truly believe this isn’t the last act in my tale.
