Overwatch 2 Season 16 Competitive Drive event now live
Starting immediately and lasting until Season 16 concludes, you’re invited to join Blizzard Entertainment’s team-based shooter and take part in the fresh Competitive Drive event for some enticing perks. These rewards encompass Drive Signatures and Competitive Points. To dive in, select the Competitive Play game mode and strive to surpass progressively higher milestones before June 24th.

Overwatch 2 Competitive Drive hero bans
The unique aspect of the Competitive Drive event lies in the inclusion of hero bans. In contrast, the preceding season lacked such a mechanism. Starting from Early Season 16, the Competitive Play game mode incorporated hero bans.

Once you decide on the character you want to fight with, you have the option to veto or ban up to three other characters. The system adds up all the selections, so in our game for instance, Widowmaker, Sombra, Zarya, and Roadhog were banned by both teams.

How Competitive Drives work in Overwatch 2
Just like in previous seasons, the Season 16 Competitive Drive event features a leveling system. Victories in matches increase your Drive Points, moving you closer to the next milestone. These milestones offer the promised rewards. Upon reaching a milestone, your Drive Points won’t drop below that level. It would be advantageous to team up with other players so you can earn more Drive Points when you win together.
