Anne Burrell death investigation takes dramatic twist as chilling new information emerges

The latest developments unfold in Anne Burrell’s surprising death investigation, as more unsettling details have surfaced regarding the location where the chef was discovered lifeless on Tuesday.

The well-known culinary personality, best known for hosting Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and co-hosting Worst Cooks in America, passed away at the age of 55 in her apartment located in Brooklyn, New York.

According to law enforcement sources, an unidentified number of pills were discovered near the location where Burrell passed away.

Representatives from Food Network and Burrell have been reached out to by DailyMail.com for comment, but they haven’t responded yet.

Previously, I’ve learned that insiders disclosed that my beloved, Burrell, was discovered unresponsive on the bathroom floor, specifically in the shower, by her husband, Stuart Claxton, during the early hours of Tuesday morning.

According to reports, Claxton is said to have seen his wife alive around 1AM the previous night, and he found her unconscious in their bathroom about six to seven hours afterwards.

Claxton contacted 911 and was allegedly advised by the operator to perform CPR on Burrell.

However, her body was said to be cold and it is not known if he performed CPR.

According to the 911 call, it appears a heart attack may have occurred, and the New York Fire Department has reportedly confirmed this by responding to an incident of a suspected cardiac arrest around 7:50 AM on Tuesday, as reported to Daily Mail.

The police found a woman who was not responding, and she was 55 years old, at her home in Brooklyn, New York. This information was confirmed by the New York City Police Department to Daily Mail, following their response to a call about an unconscious woman.

At the location itself, it was confirmed that the woman had passed away. The specific reason for her death remains undisclosed by the Chief Medical Examiner’s office, as they continue their examination.

TMZ reports that EMS attempted CPR on Burrell but could not resuscitate her.

According to a statement given to DailyMail.com on Tuesday, Anne was adored as a wife, sister, daughter, stepmother, and friend; wherever she went, her radiant smile brought warmth to the space.

As a lifestyle guide, I might say: Anne’s luminous presence extended far beyond her immediate circle, resonating with countless individuals worldwide. Although she has physically departed from our realm, her warm heart, vibrant spirit, and infinite affection continue to shine eternally. This was the sentimental message shared about her.

A representative from Food Network commented, “Anne was an exceptional individual and gifted chef – she taught, competed, and consistently emphasized the significance of food in her existence, as well as the delight a scrumptious dish could evoke.

‘Our thoughts are with Anne’s family, friends and fans during this time of tremendous loss.’

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but share the news about my beloved TV chef, whose iconic platinum spikes were as recognizable as her culinary genius. Tragically, she’s departed from us, leaving behind her loving husband, Stuart Claxton, whom she married in a heartwarming autumn wedding in our dear Cazenovia, New York, just last October.

Apart from her, she is additionally left behind by her mom Marlene, her sibling Jane, as well as her offspring Isabella, Amelia, and Nicolas, and her brother Ben.

As a child, Anne found herself growing deeply interested in the art of cooking, which was sparked by her mother’s delicious homemade dishes as well as captivating cooking shows featuring culinary legend Julia Child on TV.

In 1991, I proudly graduated from Canisius College in Buffalo with a dual degree in English and Communications. However, my heart was always in the kitchen, so I pursued my passion for culinary arts and enrolled at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park. I earned my diploma in 1996, ready to make my mark in the world of food.

She spent time working at various popular restaurants in New York City, such as Felidia and Savoy located in Soho. It was here that she refined her skills in Mediterranean cooking.

Later on, she found herself in the limelight and gained widespread recognition as the long-term presenter of Worst Cooks in America.

Over the course of 28 seasons, this program featured acclaimed chefs guiding aspiring home cooks with the goal of turning them into seasoned culinary professionals.

In other venues, she has made appearances on shows such as Chef Wanted, Chopped, Food Network Star, and more recently, the series House of Knives, which debuted in March of this year.

Notably, the celebrated culinary artist has authored two of her personal cookbooks as well – “Cook Like a Superstar” and “Master Your Kitchen: Inspirational and Empowering Recipes.

Devastated admirers have been overwhelming social media, posting numerous comments on her latest Instagram update from only a few days back.

‘This can’t be correct. Chef Anne was always vibrant, funny, lively, and brought to mind my mother. I am deeply saddened. May she find peace in Heaven and continue to prepare delicious meals for us.’

‘Prayers for your family. This feels so unexpected!

You’ve consistently been among our most cherished chefs, and you appeared to be a wonderful individual. There’s no doubt that numerous people will miss you dearly!

‘RIP ANNE! I can’t believe this! We lost a good one!’ one wrote.

For years, I’ve been an avid fan of yours, particularly your show “Worst Cooks.” More recently, I’ve also begun enjoying the latest seasons that have come out.

‘I am so sad. May you rest in peace,’ another penned.

Gigi Hadid, well-known for her appearance on the cooking contest show “Beat Bobby Flay” alongside Burrell, was among the celebrities who publicly shared their sorrow following Burrell’s passing.

‘I am heartbroken to hear of the loss of the Great Anne Burrell,’ the supermodel, 30, began.

Hadid included a photo of herself and Burrell from their time filming Beat Bobby Flay back in 2023.

As an avid follower for years, experiencing this day alongside her felt like a wish fulfilled. Not only did I get to surpass Bobby, but also spend time with him and enjoy a meal together. That’s what she remembered.

‘I wish we could have done it again. She was awesome. Rest in Peace Legend.’

As a devoted admirer, I can confidently say that Chef Carla Hall, famously known for her stint on Top Chef, has praised Burrell as not just a remarkable chef but also an exceptional culinary educator.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but share this heartfelt tidbit: Just days prior to her passing, the charismatic Carson Kressley – a cherished confidant of mine – had a conversation with none other than the late, great Whitney Houston. Isn’t it mesmerizing how their lives intertwined so closely?

He also shared a post to his own Instagram page which included a photo of him and Burrell.

‘Take it easy, Chef Anne. It was truly a blessing to have worked alongside you, learned from you, shared laughter with you. Memories upon memories – both on-screen and off – these are moments I hold dear. This photo of us living our best lives is one I treasure greatly, as the kids often say.’ – Kressley penned down.

One of my cherished moments is immersing myself in the ocean post a delightful meal. Excellent cuisine, wonderful companionship, and an abundance of affection, camaraderie, and merriment surrounded us.

‘That’s what I wish for you where you are now . I’ll see you again someday, dear friend.’

In wrapping up the tribute, Kressley mentioned that Anne had a special affection for this picture of us, so I feel confident that she would approve of my selection.
